This kid at school has one, and I admire RX7's, and I don't bash other people's cars(publicly) but he insists on puttin down the almighty rotary.

So this dumb kid has a v6 2002 mustang his daddy bought him with an intake, exhaust, and a "few things in between" but says he beats Z28 Camaro's! He even goes as far as to say he beat a 13.3 1/4 Camaro. Stock, he says he runs 15's, in A V6. Can someone give me a website to prove this dumb mofo wrong. Edmunds dosen't give me 1/4 times... and I've searched google...

Well, the V6's arent as strong as the V8 GT models, but there are mods for them and they can get pretty fast. He is most likely just a poser, and a big shot. I think 15's are possible witha V6, but I'll check to be sure...

ya cause when my truck was stock with 190hp it ran a 16.2 quater so I'm sure a stang could do it in 15's

He also might have thought the Z28 was racing him and he won when in reality, the Z28 driver wasnt racing him and was too busy laughing his ass off at him. Or he might have thought it was a Z28 when it was just the RS version, or a rebadged RS...

Its just as bad at my school. Theres a newer 6cyl camaro 'vert, 96-98 6cyl mustangs, 4cyl mustangs, a bunch of neons, half of which are riced out, they all talk s*** and drive/act like they own a race car. Im actually glad they all own slow cars because if they owned anything with more than 250hp everyone would be dead.

My bro's '88 MX-6 GT 2.2L Turbo I4 runs 13.8, and is fully daily driveable.

Though there's no reason for a V6 mustang owner to diss on anything really. V6 mustangs are for cheap people and seems to be popular most with woman drivers. At my school there's like 5 of em, all driven by girls.

I bet this V6 mustang driving rotary disser doesn't even understand the concept behind the rotary.

1/8th mile doesn't count... ;) What kind of mods has he got to get those easy to achieve times?

Well duh, it's what 90% of teenage girls ask their parents for when they graduate. Auto V6 Mustang Convertibles.

MSD ignition thingy, boost controller with it boosting like 16psi(stock is 7.5), no converter, and some other little stuff. The MSD, the plug wires, and the clutch are the only aftermarket parts I think. Most everything else is just hand tuned. There's a crack in the cylinder head, but there's a replacement 2.2L turbo in our garage for it when my bro gets the time. The cool things on the car are the grill with driving lights from Mazda Europe, the 626 GT wheels painted gunmetal, and he use to have the Mazda digital dash from Canada in it, but took it out because it wasn't reading right. He also has 1 of 200 factory CD players in the US. The interior is all stock(except for some added gauges), and all there.
It's kinda loud, loud turbo wistle and blow off, backfires at times, but in the middle of 2nd when the boost kicks in, it burns the tires and really rockets. He use to take it to Gateway Race track, on cirtain days they have where you can drag race people for like $15 and get time slips and stuff. I could take my 323 there but I don't want to turn it into a comical event. :)

Heh, my laser, timed unofficially does 0-100km/h in 21.67 seconds.

The B2000 does it in about 13.... phear .

But you should just take it down anyway, for ****s and giggles.

I'm apart of a v6 stang board as well, and every now and then we get some morons that say they took on trans ams and z28s, but they generally get flamed off fairly quickly. The v6 mustang is a decent car. It has a very healthy range of mods and is fairly sound upkeep wise. We have a a couple people that are pushing around 300-400 hp, but those are only the diehard enthusiasts.

Perhaps the person was talking about one of the 80s z28s? A 2002 v6 with cold air intake, dual exhaust, and 3.73 gears could probably hang with one (im guessing, i dont know the HP #s for those camaros).

He's boosting 16 psi, and all he can do is a 13.8? Something's wrong here. Either you don't have the right figure, or your brother can't drive...

Heh. A female friend of mine's parents are getting her a car soon, and she wanted a mustang. Thanks to me, she's getting a GT coupe with a V8. I tried to persuade her to get the SVT, but to no avail.

The cracked head probably doesn't help. Also, I see no mention of tires and we both know that powerful front-wheel drivers run out of traction quickly.

I donno what tires are on it...they are sportier tires though, but still street tires that didn't cost much.
