Vandenbrink will use only 5 599 GTB's to recreate the legendary Ferrari 250GTO. Sorry can't understand the language in the link, but here it is anyways. http://www.racewaynews.net/articolo.php?a_id=1597
Here it is!

Original 250 GTO for comparison.

I love it! I like how they stayed with the original design with the 3 vents up front to the high rear arches in the rear. All needs is a prancing horse on the front grill instead of the big "M".

Is it? Might aswell lock the thread then if it's a repost.

**After getting informational pm by Dave A he pointed out that there had not been a thread made about this car but was only mentioned earlier, so I'll re-open the thread for discussion!

I'm certainly glad this is only project they're going through with. Both their Shooting Brake concepts don't look very good at all, and the rest are just weird.

Tsk, tsk...you can't re-make one of the most beautiful cars ever made.

We're seeing a sudden waste of perfectly good Ferraris lately, Prancing Hoof and Mouth Disease finally taken hold of sensible people?

Personally I love the looks of this car, it doesn't have the classic GTO's history or prestige, but it's a good looker and with 620bhp on tap it'll shift a bit as well.

So, it is virtually impossible to make any of the current Ferrari's look any better than they do stock (barring the Enzo). Pretty sad, if you ask me.

Nice, really looks good. I don't understand what a dutch designer has got to do with Ferrari?

Looks awesome, great job of re-creating the look of the original. Definately going to be a high price collector's piece down the road.
I wonder what sort of details there are on the specs of this car... Manual transmission, etc etc ?

I think this would make one of the modest beautiful modern Ferraris available, but has anyone ponied up to make one? It's been a while since these images were released, but has anyone seen any photos of a real 599GTO since its showing over a year ago? I'd be mighty tempted if my lotto numbers came up, that's for sure. I love this thing!

Vanderbrink is on FChat, and said at one time they begun work on a 599 body, but haven't read much since. He shows a lot of pictures of his shop restoring older Ferraris, though. 👍
