I'm sure there are minivans worse than the Lumina APV.

*cough* Aerostar *cough*

:D ;)

The Astro and Safari, as dated and "trucklike" as they are, are very durable and quite spacious with the seats removed. They make great fleet vehicles.

The Aerostar was bad - but at least Ford knew when to cancel it. "Durable" is the only positive term I'd use to describe the Astro and Safari - it doesn't get 'spacious' because the GMC Savana and Chevrolet Express, which are much better fleet vehicles because they're easier to buy in large groups, cost about the same and have more space inside.

The Oasis was a Honda Odyssey, right? I've never seen one. We Canucks only got the Trooper, Rodeo, Impulse, I-Mark, Stylus and...'pickup' (the Isuzu-designed and built pickup, not the Hombre). No Oasis, no Hombre, no Amigo, no Axiom, etc. In fact, as of this year GM Canada pulled Isuzu off the market. 2003 Canadian sales of Isuzus were in the single digits.

Ouch - though Isuzu didn't top 10,000 US sales last year. Yeah, the Oasis was a re-badged version of the 1996-1998 Honda Odyssey. Except because of Isuzu's lack of anything else to sell, Isuzu got it for the 1999 model year also - so it had to compete with the 1999 Honda Odyssey while being a twin of the 1996 Honda Odyssey. No - the old Odyssey wasn't bad, but the new one was an unbelievable step up. Plus - the Odyssey was on the expensive side for what it was, it accelerated poorly, and access to the rear seats was impossible. It too was 'durable' and little else.

The US doesn't get the Demio/2 because it's, well, about as practical as a 3 and slower. I'd like to see it here, but it won't happen, atleast for a while.
Aah, that bites. Right now mazda has a nice series of 4 and 5 door cars with faces that look similar, it would be cool to add one more of 'Madza's new face' to that list...

I think the Demio is cool...
