First thing that jumped to mind is the fact that when I opened my Email, I had 40+ messages from a group PM that I was added to rather than actually joined myself. I know that there is a way to turn off the notifications, but doing so also turns of the ability to receive notifications when you get a new PM. I think it would be much better if the two options were separated, particularly when I think there is a massive chance to spam anyone who doesn't have it shut off entirely because you can be added to a group without even wanting to be.
Second thing, because I'm not sure if it is a bug or not, would be that you are no longer able to search threads to see who posted, as seen here:
As far as I can see, there isn't even in a way to bring up a list of who posted (nevermind a clickable search query), which was extremely useful for searching through past threads where you were trying to find old information. Hovering over the post count in the thread index just tells you how many likes the OP has and can't be clicked on anymore.
I'd also praise the return of the middle-ground text editor, which had all of the BBCode pulldowns but only inserts the code rather actively formats the text box. I found that WSYWIG editors on forums tend to make multiple quotes a massive hassle to type up; and while I would turn off the editor, do it by hand, then turn it back on as I do on another forum that has just the two options, I would like it if the older option returned.
I'm also not sure if it's just a bug or not, but you can no longer see who is viewing a thread (even though the ability to get that information from individual users has been restored).
Also, the username being above the avatar and aligned with the top for the post made things much easier to read (and I've already seen one glitch with users who intentionally don't have an avatar, where it pushes their name to the bottom of their post).
Finally, and a much more minor thing, but would it be possible to have an option for the status updates on the main page default to what your Friends are saying rather than what everyone is saying? I recognize that there are currently a few bugs with the Statuses, but even when it was fixed it seems that updates would be pushed off the main page far too quickly for it to be much use simply because of how many members GTP has (plus, I'm honestly more interested in what my Contacts have to say on that sort of setting than the entirety of GTP).
