In September 1963 Vauxhall did some changes to the VX4/90. They increased the engine from 1508 cc , 72 hp to 1595 cc , 87 hp and they did also put front disc brakes as an option.
Other options was fog lamps, reversing light and seat belt. Some standard things for the VX4/90 was for an example the sporty stiffened suspension, leather bucket seats and a wide range of instruments, including a rev. counter.

Powertrain: 1595 cc , Inline-4 , Twin Zenith carburetors , 87 hp / 5200 rpm , 134 Nm / 3200 rpm , 4-speed manual

Dimensions: Length 4401 mm , Width 1626 mm , Height 1473 mm , Weight 1010 kg

Performance: Top speed 154 km/h , 0-100 km/h ~14 sec

Charming appearance, reminds me of Lotus Cortina. I wish it was a bit more powerful though.
Yeah me too, but it took some time before Vauxhall and other car makers did make fast cars ...
