Hey, not too sure if this is the spot for this, but here goes. On GTP, I can't quote or edit posts by clicking the buttons, due to limitations with my phone browser (Opera Mini), however I can use the other forum I frequent (http://www.r31skylineclub.com) just like I was on a regular PC. The only thing I can find about the software they use is down the bottom it says "Powered by MySQL, Powered by PHP, Powered by SMF 1.1.2". My question is, how do these formats/protocols/thingermagigers differ from vBulletin and does anyone know of a J2ME compatible browser that can understand vBulletin properly? Chars

they really dont differ, vB uses mysql for its backend server to manage posts and stuff.
vB also uses javascript and ajax alot.

So what part of vBulletin would it be that disagrees with Opera Mini? I can browse GTP just fine, it's just the form text retention that's the issue. Could it be something in the coding/formatting of the forms in GTP that it can't handle properly. As I said, it works fine elsewhere.

I do want to know, but if you don`t know, then I guess I`ll go without.

As said, vB now uses alot of Javascript, which probably isn't supported too well by a mobile browser.
You could try using the Mobile Style in the style switcher at the bottom of the page. That should remove alot of the incompatible stuff.

It probably doesn't support AJAX. To my knowledge, SMF doesn't have anything AJAX in it (apart from some 3rd party shoutboxes), so that's probably why it works there and not here.

Opera Mini is a very basic browser, so I shouldn't expect much from it. I don't know what other Java browsers are out there, but the one that came with your phone will probably display everything properlly.

Or just use the Mobile skin.
