It's not a typo. Vectors had 3-speeds.

GM didn't make a transmission in the 1980s that would keep from grenading if hooked up to the W8 engine except for the three speed in the 1970s Eldorado/Toronado, and the WX-3 was built directly off of the W8.

It's not. This 3-speed is considered one of the best automatics, if not the best.
