That video is older than the internet itself.

There are a couple street driven, 6-speed (unlike the VeilSide Soup which has a full sequential race-box and a completely gutted interior. it doesn't even have a dashboard!) Supras in the U.S that run high 8's on boost, no nitrous.

right click save as Paul Efantis - current world record holder

right click save as WOTM.com Ryan Woon - the guy trying to get the record back

I know that's throwback, but I didn't find it posted here. I can't recall seeing a vid showing the hood bending like that.

Oh well....

the funny thing is..

That's Vielside's..

When a private owner, (arguably the supra king out of Scottsdale Az....GO ARIZONA!!)..
Saad saad has a nice 1400+WHP supra....without nitrous....just running a GT47 turbo

Very old but cool video.

It's quite fast considering it has street tyres. Would probably make a very respectable quarter mile with drag slicks.

I wish there were films of Veilside's drag Skylines. I think there's one that has done like 7,6 or something.

Sad Sad is a joke on the Supra forums, IIRC he was banned. And his car had a big direct port nitrous setup the last time I seen it. Gorgeous Supra, it's a bummer the guy has about as much character as a ballpoint pen.

ps - I think Woon is using nitrous now..

I don't care if he's a joke on the supra forums..

I've seen 3 of his supra's run in person..2 on street tires one on M/T's...

all in the 9's....all quite as hell..

why do they consider him a joke? Because of his prices at suprastore?
They're *****ing because he's filthy rich?

Where i'm from, that's called "hating"

Mark Tozer owns the SupraStore, Saad owns Intense. That's why the entire side of his car says INTENSE.

Everyone (besides the Saad fanclub members like yourself) considers him a joke, because of the E.T's he puts up. He is running 9.2's in a drag car that probably cost more than your home. Meanwhile, there are guys like Marko D (8.5) Paul Efantis (8.9) and Woon (8.9) with full interiors, that drive on the street, beating his big dollar - trailered drag cars ass.

Where you're from they need to get their facts straight.

Boost....while i havn't seen his "drag car"..
I have seen his street cars....
So I don't see how a 9 second street car is a joke...

Sure a drag car can run 9's..
but it's a SUPRA
supra's are turds to begin with....

Does anyone in the US actually build Supra's for the track? You know the one with corners.

If there is any I would like to see them.

Open track / time attack events are just starting to catch on in the U.S. The main problem is, there is only one track to the best of my knowledge that supports this type of racing, and it's in California. When you factor in most states do not even have a race track, it's easy to see why so many turn to drag racing.

I have seen a couple built for the road course come out of SP Engineerings shop.

Road racing / time attacks are just starting to catch on here. I can only think of one track in this country that supports that type of racing, and it's all the way on the left side of the country. (California)

Some nice videos on that site. 👍

Supra's for the track?

Doesn't that go against the laws of physics?

Jun's got their Akira supra. It does pretty well on track.

Also, there is always the JGTC ones. :sly:

Really?! When i was on there was like an hour left it was up to 90g. Why do they call him Unicorn?

JGTC ones??!?!?!
REALLY?!?!?!

Oh you mean the shell of a car that used to once be a supra....
The same car that hasn't won a road race with it's original engine in...XXXXX years?

Why do they call him Unicorn?
Unicorn - A mythological creature, usually represented as a white horse

The things that car has done on the streets of Chicago and on drag strips all over the U.S, are almost unreal. So, it's the unicorn.

Sorry this is slightly off topic but has anyone ever seen this?(not a video)

I think its amazing!

Someone posted it on here before. What's amazing about a race car running 8's?

Before someone pulls the "it's a street car" line. No it is not. Street cars do not have a race car tube chassis, plastic windows, or sheet metal interiors with one seat. I'll assume the hood/fenders/doors are fiberglass. Should I mention the race car suspension that would give anyone a headache after driving the car for 10 minutes on a real road? That's if the fuel cell didn't go empty first.

The rules that define a street car for that race, are rediculous. Street legal and Street car are two completely different things.

It's street legal, but it's not a street car.

Go cruise around your city for a few hours and tell me how many cars like this you see.
