After watching the video in this thread, I had a wee look around on Google video to see if the number of videos had increased much since last time I checked it out. So, I searched for a few arbitrary things and came across the Veilside Skyline dyno video I'd seen several years ago in High Octane 2000. It's a good run, those who haven't already seen it will probably be quite impressed. I know the video's old, but I've searched and didn't find it, so I don't think it's a repost. Anyway, here's the video, enjoy! This is the car in the video.

I'm impressed. 1017BHP is rather a lot.

I remember reading about that car. Apparently it had 1300bhp when it did it's New Zealand record run.

Yeah, with drivetrain losses of around 20% (possibly more since it's 4wd), 1017bhp at the wheels equates to roughly 1275bhp at the flywheel.

Good vid, Thats a nice 'at the wheels' number.

Ah yeah. Forgot about that.

Dynapacks are crap, however. If you want a relatively more accurate reading, get a dynojet. I say relatively accurate, because it's easy to mess with a bunch of factors that affect the reading.

Wow... I'm impressed up until the point where he blew the cap off of, what seemed to me, Radiator overflow can.

Well, this was after the car had been doing 215mph on a country road...a certain amount of temprementality is to be expected on a car as highly strung as this (especially when it's driven in anger on rough roads).

I wonder if they will ever test this car at Bonnerville. I think they estimated it would go 250mph+.

But the same site also claimed that it weighed well over 1700kg, which seem odd considering how stripped out the car is. So maybe it's not trustworthy.
