hey guys imover console gaming and want to buy my first gaming pc i have found two pc's that i really like but im a noob when it comes to stuff like this so what do you guys think?

Why not make your own?

It is easy and you can save a lot.

Do not get Alienware they are Overpriced hunks of crap.

First thing is first.

What games do you want to play.

No use spending 2k on a machine just to play games like minecraft or facebook games.

I mean it's the same i5-3570k and it has a GTX660 which is a bit more powerfull than a 7870 that you're showing in your config you picked.

Any reason I dont see ?

Actually, $1049 for that setup is not bad at all.

Windows 7 on that website is $179 which would make your grand total before tax and shipping $1,228. Assuming that you do not want to tackle overclocking just yet, i'd buy that.

Finding windows 7 will be hard, windows 8 just plain sucks for desktop systems.
Even if you do get windows 7 you will have to pay for that which is about $100.

So it winds up being better to get it preinstalled.

MLN sell windows 7 HP OEM for $179
PCCG sell it for $95.00

So get it from MLN 1150 or so with shipping.
Get windows 7 from somewhere else, add shipping.

I agree with you 100%. I have been using Windows 8 Pro on my desktop for a couple of months and I don't have any issues with it compared to Windows 7. Its generally cheaper to purchase Windows 8, too.
