I just updated to version 1.06 and now GT5 will not load past the screen with the all of the warnings. Has any ones else seen this issue and know of a fix? Thanks
Yeah I have tried turning off my PS3 and turning it back on. I even unplugged it an let it sit for a while. I will load that first screen and then just hang.
Thought I had that problem when I loaded it up after updating last night but I waited for a few minutes and it got past it. It definitely did take longer than usual to load past that warning screen for me.
Geez! Downloads taking hours for some people is way too long. Mine only took like 10 minutes or so. You should check your net connections if these downloads are taking this long.., especially if you're using WiFi.

It may have something to do with tons of server traffic due to the update and new online features. I know when GT5 fires up and has a hard time connecting to the internet (which it seems to always attempt upon start up) it will just try and try and its looks like its frozen but its not (I'm not saying this is the case for you but it could be).
Try dissabling the internet connection then start GT5.
The game just froze on me . I was driving Bob on indy. After he finished , the game froze and i had to hold the power button to restart. This was the first time the game froze . I installed 1.06 allready.............

Im not sure if this will help or not but pre patch 1.06 I read about this happening to some people and they seemed to fix it by logging out of their psn id. Start gt5 and then once up to the game menu log on to your psn ID from there. Dont know if it will work but worth a shot.

logging out of your psn will fix the problem. I have a slow internet connection and it takes doube the time to load when i am connected to psn. the same would happen if the servers are slow as well
I had this problem during the last update. Eventually, it just started working. I would wager that the suggestions to disconnect your ethernet cable are going to help you. Even if it doesn't, don't do anything crazy - like I said, mine just started randomly working after about four hours of me panicking.

Same for me as well. I think it's because there are far too many people updating at once. Keep trying is what I recommend if it won't download completely. If the game won't load, check for fingerprints on the disc, look for a solid HDD light on the front and make sure you aren't using any illegal firmware on the PS3. Since we had to re-agree to the new EULA I wouldn't be surprised if this GT5 update also tries to detect any wrong-doing. But these are just some points to cover with troubleshooting, good luck!
My download took 4 minutes...the loading screen did hang on the GT5 splash for what seemed like eternity but was probably only a few minutes (but still longer than normal) - then it went black for 30 seconds before going to the main screen. No problems loading up since.
I am having the same issue, posted about it on the Playstation network forum as well.
My load up progresses past the online user agreement but hangs after this, it has been sitting idle for more than 30min with no load progression noticeable.
Hi to all you guys!I've just dowloaded the 1.06 patch for gt5.When the patch installed,the ps3 tried to do a restart that never happened and i had a black screen while the ps3 was on.i did the restart manually and when i tried to play the game,it wasnt respond at all.Suddenly i realised that the 3.56 update for ps3 just diassapeared.So i made a back up of the saved game,download again the 3.56 update and then i deleted the whole game from the system.i dont know why that happened.Do you know any reason?Thank you for your time!
