why would someone use mediums instead of medium softs?

And why so strict on the gear ratios and not on anything else? They really don't make much of a difference unless they are way to high or way too low.

Because if everyone uses those gears then the race will be set at more of a challenge for everyone, the speeds of the cars will remain the same, but the handling of the car and the skill of the driver will play a bigger role.

IMHO, Medium's allow the Vertigo much more turning ability, while the medium softs make the car stick too good.

why not use an arcade car then?

If you use the arcade car you only have a stock enginge available while the tuned engine delivers 746hp.

Did a first run yesterday with Midfield II settings and the mentioned gear ratios on Trial Mountain II and was able to pull 1:15.220" off.

what, and you think i dont know that?

Bollocks,

no offence, got your point, if it's just racer capabilities it would be better to use an arcade racer.
In my opinion I'd rather have all settings free. Maybe the rules should be changed.
