Very New to GT5 (and ps3). Car desired.

Hi all. Love the community here. I just recently got a PS3 and GT5 is the first game I picked up; can't seem to put it down. I have been Forza fan since the 1st one, but imo GT5, so far, is way better. Anyway, enough with the introductions.
I have printed out a list of all the cars so I can check off what I have and look for what I want. I am really looking for the:

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI GSR Tommi Makinen Edition '00
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VI RS Tommi Makinen Edition '00

I am not sure how the car trading thing goes, but any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Welcome to and GT5. Normally trade values are assigned as follows no matter how much the car cost:
1 ticket = 1 car
1 car = 1 car
5 paints = 1 car
5 Meuseum cards = 1 car
5 Horns = 1 car
2 Gear sets = 1 car

A good portion of traders, including me, does Dupe but rarely you hear about it for some reasons. Theres plenty of way of doing it but theres always a small risk. So back up your files regularly on another memory device If you choose the easy way.

Seasonal events is a gold mine to start with but you need the right car, some idea in this section of the board.

Online Car Dealership(OCD) is a good way also to built your garage but many traders want then with 0 mile / 0 switch / 0 mods (0/0/0).

Oh one more question, I know you can only send/receive 1 car/day, does it work the same way with tickets?

5 museum cards
unlimited gear
