very slow loading since update

anybody else got this problem?

just done game and system update and now gt6 is very slow.

when I load the game after the gt6 home screen comes up I get the spinning circle in the top left
corner of the screen for 45-60 seconds before I can do anything.

then when I click on anything, open lobby,seasonal etc I get the spinning circle for ages again.
or if I pick a race I have to wait a while for the screen to come up with the track then wait again
for the options to appear.

its making gt6 unplayable for me

have checked internet connection and that is fine.
don't know which one has caused it the game update or the system update.
 
I don't seem to have this problem. Could it be your internet connection? A lot of space in your PS3's hard drive?
 
Could be a server issue, online stability hasn't been too good recently and the game is communicating with the servers a lot even offline, so if they're slow to respond, then so is some of your game.

When I updated to the latest patch, it took over half an hour for it to download, when on my connection it should have taken less than 15 seconds.
 
It's an issue somewhere between your connection and PD's. Gran Turismo 5 had this problem too, where if connecting to PDs servers took a long time, you would be stuck at loading screens or unable to use the UI. This is not to say that something is wrong on your end, it might not be, but longer then normal load times in GT6 are typically a result of a connection issue to PDs servers.
 
any other game affected? if all games are like this it could be hdd? how old is the unit?

Mine doesnt load too good either but its an almost full drive and its a slim so guess the hdd is coming to 6yrs old or more

Hosting league races was a nightmare tonight. Very slow menu and many times it was telling I could not create a room. When I could, multiple times several people could not join. A few times it told me I was not connected to PSN. :lol: Even though I was..?
 
i had that issue on GT5. the only way to fix it is to delete your saved game unfortunately. if your lucky restoring the automatic backup save file might do the trick. i always back up mine to a USB after doing a lot of races as i fear it might happen again to me.
