None of your business
a couple days ago I was playing gt3, and in case your wondering i was not using a codebreaker. I was racing in Laguna Seca in my 1800 hp escudo. after about 3 laps, the game all of a sudden slows down drastically. I'm not sure it this is a glitch, or somethings going on with my ps2. When it first started, everything slowed down, and something goofy was going on with the physics, because I could go through the corkscrew at 180 mph when it first started. The game just kept getting SLOWER and SLO WER and SL OW ER and S L O W E R....... when this first started, one second in the game took about 3 seconds in real life. everything slowed down, acceleration, braking, etc. about 5 minutes later it took about 10 seconds in real life. at that point, i could take every corner at the escudo's top speed of 260 mph. it didn't slow down in the curves at all, and it still stayed on the road. another 5 minutes, and it was almost at a standstill. it took 1 minute in real life to do 1 second in the game. at that point i had reset my ps2, and that kind of ticked me off because i didn't get to save anything.

First off, I've never heard of anything like this in 5 years of being on this site.

Second off, even if you didn't use the Codebreaker this session, are you still in the game save that you have used the Codebreaker on?

I don't think that is possible, since Gran Turismo is one of those games that have no signs of slowwing down. Watch, you can even do a race with the PS2 CD thing open.

I'm also wondering if you used the same game that the Codebreaker was on. Like Duke, I've never heard or seen anything remotely close that what you're describing. Matter of fact, I've never had any problems with GT3 whatsoever.

GT2: multiple probs with vanishing cars, even with a 1.2 version disc.

GT4: my first disc had a habit of not reloading correctly (the famous "red circle glitch"). This was solved when I bought a 2nd disc that wasn't used.

If anything, I've found GT3 to be extremely reliable. Never had any freezes, never any slowdown, and very minimal scenery pop-up.

eh its probably just my ps2 acting funky. Gran turismo 2 kept freezing up whenever i tried to enter a track. i don't know if theres something busted in my ps2 or this this heat.

Well my first GT2 disc was the first version (1.0) and I remember occasional freezes and blackout screens, but I never had a prob with GT3, so perhaps it is your console. I don't know jack and can't help...I would do some searching online or perhaps visit somewhere local that fixes PS2 equipment :nervous: that 2nd option can get a bit expensive, though.
