I wonder if anyone else has found this occurence in GT4. I just fired up Arcade mode, single race, Opera Paris track, and chose a Nissan Silvia K's (S14), difficulty +2. The lineup showed up as Ford Taurus SHO, RX-7 FC, MR2 '97, Elise 111S and a Honda Prelude.

Anyway, on the running start, my car passed the car infront (Ford Taurus) just barely before the start line and I was 5th when I got control.

Has anyone else found this with a specific car/AI cars combination?

Yea, it happens all the time on Opera Paris, iven in GT mode, if ur cars faster than the guy in front of ya, you'll end up in front of him at the start of the race!

Just a bit offtopic, but in another race I was just doing on Opera Paris, on the 1st lap, was using a Skyline R32, and one of the AI in front was a Subaru Impreza WRX (older one). Anyway, you guys know how on the back straight, theres that kink which ya gotta slow down for? Well the Impreza in front of me didn't slow down. And the track ends on the right side if you take that kink too fast and there's a big wall there. Man o man that Impreza took that wall hard, just sent him flying to the side on the track. It was hilarious.. 👍

Have you seen that in one of the Honda manufacturer races (can't recall which one) at Motorsport Land that the faster cars sometimes take the final corner too fast and end up in the pits on every lap.

Quite handy that one.

ya i remember. its one of the older cars group. its pretty hilarious. every lap he goes into pit.

Yes, there's a lot of AI dumbness under rolling starts, notably at Opera forward, Motorsports Land reverse and Autumn Ring reverse. Even at the Nurburgring, every car tags the barrier at the last corner.

really irritates me (the dumb AI that is) On Laguna Seca, cars frequently take the Corkscrew way too fast and crash...

Off topic...Hi again everyone, long time no see

Yeah, in something I recently ran (maybe the European Hot Hatch series) at Opera Paris I started in 5th because B-Spec Bob drove past the poor little Fiat 500 before handing over. That would have been a pit-through penalty IRR.

The Italian Festival event at Autumn Ring II caused a similar problem when I used my '91 Delta Integrale; the 5th place car wasn't as fast, but it kept pushing my car off to the side during the rolling start.

Yes, that race took me about 10 tries, and it did it every time. The Delta wasn't as quick as the 5th-place car, but that Fiat Coupe just kept boxing me out as if I was going for a offensive rebound in the paint.

I'll have to try the italian festival or 70's race at Motorsport Land and this Autumn Ring Reverse. It sounds funny to see one of the AI pit in every lap. :dopey:

i found a weird one I was testing my r33 skyline which makes 700+ hp and i photographed my time 08.542 and looked at it again and it reset to 99.99 has anyone else noticed this or not?

Man, the AI are retarded.........It helps you win every race if that were in every track.

On-topic: Yeah its been happening to me too when me and my cousi compete for best times. (we do 1 player cause of the AI to slow your time, more challenge)

i assume your talking about the las vegas drag strip right? (or where ever the heck it is, been a while sinse i've played gt) yeah i tried to do that too. grab a shot in photo mode looking at the big sign that displays your time and catch the car in the lower corner just past the sign. worked beautifully untill i went to take the pic. the darn sign had reset to 99.99 instead of showing my ET. grrrrrrrrrrrr :ouch:

Another one quite similar to that is if you pause and unpause the replay a few times before you get to the time board at the end (without taking a picture) it reduces the duration of the run.

For example here is my stock Superbird running a 5.58

The drag strip bug with reducing time is funny, but here's another good one. In Forza Motorsport, I have a time of 0.000 as #1 in my own leaderboard with a Cadillac LMP1. Don't ask me how I did it, I don't remember.

Actually, in my experience, race cars seem to get through the corkscrew okay, merely to go off into the gravel on the sweeper right after. Lap after lap after lap.

Nothing beats the irritation of Autumn Ring reverse, though. Starting with the additional penalty of being pushed off into the gravel on every single race just sucks.
