Hi There

I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether the physics in the vettel challenge represent the in game physics or online etc.
I have desparately been trying to Gold Suzuka and Nurb and thought i would get in some practice rather than keep having to restart in the challenge itself.
So i took one of my X2010's and had a practice.
I had the same setup as in the vettel challenge with racing softs etc but the physics felt totally different in practice - much easier but my laptimes didnt seem to be really any quicker. I was however able to string together quite a few laps without crashing.
The problem is that if the physics are different in practice then its obviously not going to help me with the challenge.

Thanks in advance

Nath

They have a different setup in the challenge (don't know what setup they use, you can't see it)

I have turned SRF ON in the challenge (first time ever) as im getting desparate now :).
Pretty sure the challenge is on RS rather than RH.

If they have different settings which cant be seen then i guess im going to struggle to replicate it for practice.

Thanks for the replies.

Redbull X2010 i think. The one that you get for level 35. I dont even think i have ever changed any settings on it as it just gets abused when grinding so never bothered with it.

I did the Suzuka 1000km enduro in the X2010 in the hope that it would improve my lap times. Fat chance!:grumpy:

That is true, OP. I've noticed that on rally too. Compare the Rally liscence tests and Challenges, then go to practice, and you'll feel like the car is driving on dry asphalt rather than on snow or gravel.

Screw the Vettel Challenges. Those things are too difficult... I will never be able to complete them even in bronze. which is a shame because I have most of my liscense tests and challenges in gold.

My friend has done some research and found out that X2010 used in the Vettel Challenge has very low downforce setting.

That is kind of how it feels although its srange that my laptimes dont seem to reflect that.
I can do a 1.06.7ish first lap on the challenge and similar when practicing (maybe low 1.06) but feels so much easier (like it should be a 1.05.xxx)

I guess i will just keep going with the endless restrts and waiting in the pits lol

Cheers for all the replies so far

Have you tried since the bronze lap times were changed?
It's much easier for everyone to get at least bronze with the increased time.

I had got gold at monza and bronze for the other two beforethe times changed. Im trying Suzuka now but still a second off silver let alone gold.

EDIT just noticed you were quoting someone else sorry lol

Why not just keep practicing the challenge because you will eventually get it...rather than hitting the mark in practice mode then you go do the challenge and it takes you more hours to do it again.

Oh yeah i will keep at it i was just hoping to get some practice at the later sections of the track (most notably the chicane) without having to keep resetting from a crash.

To tell you the truth, I quited after my first ten or twelve attempts a couple of months before the update. Maybe I'll try it again.

Hey guys. Not quite relevant but I haven't been able to get into any of the races. Iv had it in the spec menu for like 6 months but whenever I go into itit just stays on the load screen. Can anyone help?
