I just reached lvl 30 and went to try the x2010 challenge.

I cannot even finish 2 laps on nürburging GP . I am trying my best, tried it over 15 times. If i don't push enough i will start losing the ghost car, if i push my self i will lose control of the x2010... I am kinda frustrated now.

Anyone out there who minds sharing some tips on how to get this challenge seem easier?

If your using a contoller, aim low. Bronze is about as good as it its.... Also, try Monza first. Easiest out of the three to do and it will help you build confidence with the car

Use the Search Function to read other threads.
You can also try watching videos of people getting Gold in the X1.
Using a wheel helps massively.

I don't claim to be a GT-God, but as someone who has beaten everything up to level 30 with the controller quite easily, I'm calling this challenge impossible. Impossible assuming you aren't willing to spend several hours on each race or are a true master of the game anyways (keep in mind, I'm only talking about with the DS3, I'm sure a wheel helps HUGELY).

I wish you luck, but honestly, I've given up. I know that if I put enough time in I'll do it eventually, but I'd rather not face the sheer frustration.

Yeah i use a DFGT with FFB on 10.

Damn this challenge just made me completely lose all my love for this game. I have beaten every single Special event on Gold, there were some i had to repeat them tons of times to get it gold, but every times i restarted one, i noticed my lap times getting better as i was getting used to the cars/tracks/conditions.

In this event, i see no improvement on any of my times as i can't even finish a damn lap O.O

It looks like your problem is : you are trying to beat the Ghost without even completing the race at least once...

Would advice you to try to complete the 2-lap race at least once, then see how far off you are from the bronze/silver/gold timing...from there, improve your driving skills to beat it again.

That was what I did..the first time I tried on nürburging GP, I was off by a whopping 10sec from bronze...jaw dropped and speechless for 10min...after composing myself, tried again and got disqualified countless of time. After knowing what speed and driving line I could take for each corner, I could win easy.

BTW, i've not golded it, but I heard that you don't need to beat the Ghost to get gold..:dopey:

Game On!

I golded yesterday Nurb and Monza in less than 2 hours for both...

I now feel i was born to drive this car... really weird, my second attempt on Nurb yesterday was a Bronze with 2.12.xxx and i wasn't even pushing my self, after 30 mins i got silver, and then i finally realized how to get gold.

To be honest i now feel that it was easy lol... I didn't try suzuka yet because my left knee and my chest/arms were hurting alot after completing both events in gold in less than 2 hours yesterday, so i thought i would leave Suzuka for today as i know suzuka will be much harder and therefor i need to be in a good condition :D

It feels so weird, an event that i thought it would be impossible to win, now turns out it is not that hard :D

Same here, I've unlocked and golded the event yesterday in less than 3 hours, and at the end of the day my right arm was hurting (I also use manual shift, and this car needs a lot of shifting ehehe) even if I've tuned down the FF from 10 to 2 in order to make easier the fast turns in Suzuka :sly:

Hehe, i know what you mean, my arms were like screaming for help while i was driving the x1 :dopey:

I also noticed my Wheel had to be re-calibrated after completing both Nurb and Monza, somehow my DFGT would not center, it felt like when you drive a car with mechanical damage on and you drive right into a wall, the wheel will not be centered anymore, thats exactly how my wheel looked like after the challenge

I couldn't turn my G25 fast enough so I used my old 200 degree EX. Worked great. So buy an old, cheap wheel.

My tip is this, do what I'm doing and try find a setup and technique that works best for yourself and you're comfortable with. There's so many people telling you different settings, techniques etc on the numerous threads on this subject that to be honest I don't think there is a right or wrong way to do these challenges.

Hello, someone can tell me how events happened x1, i use the joystick ds3, and if I may say also the setups. From already thank you very much

Does anyone know why the X2010 skips off the curbs on the Nurburgring challenge as if it's being launched off a catapult? In one of my attempts, my car flipped end over end - TWICE. I know getting the wheels off the track significantly reduces the downforce generated by the fan, but the effect seems to be severely exaggerated.

I did get bronze on it, but I found this more frustrating than Suzuka, as I steadily improved on that track. But with Nurburgring, it all boils down to how I negogiated the curbs, which seems like a bit more of a crapshoot.

Don't use any assists, maybe adjust your abs. Maybe, my hands are older but i couldn't complete some events with a controller eg..nascar challange and a few others. Anyways i suggest you try to find a older logitech gt force wheel, i was lucky and found one brand new for $40. i think the g27 or g25 is overkill. Asides from that just keep practicing and learn your breaking points, don't worry about your the ghost ahead of you, just the road....good luck.
p.s. even if a logitech wheel was meant for the pc, it will be compatible on the ps3....

It has more to do with the size of the kerbs. The ones in the Nurburgring are tall, and at those speeds + turning it is easy to get lift. Hitting the kerb causes violent lift which translates into grip loss and the car launching onto two wheels. The rest is observed.....

I got fed up of trying the Vettel challenge with my controller, its so hard! decided... and hate if you want! to do a trade for one. Got it last night and played online for abit with some friends at de la sarthe (no chicanes) after a few laps was managing 2:22:2 a lap, think i could get a little faster but does anyone know if that is actually a good time with a DS3?

I plan to try the Vettel challenge again once a little more used to the car, easier this way than having to reset every few corners lol
