The Bentley Speed Racing Team has taken the victory in the 2h 45 minutes endurance race at Infineon Raceway.
This endurance race is seen as the most important preperation race for the 24h races. Teams are testing the following parts here:

This year a new team joined: the Bentley Speed Racing team. This year's the first time they joined this race as they are going to compete in the 24h of Le Mans II Edition. The Bentley Speed Racing Team are using a '03 Bentley Speed 8 which produces 797 BHP. Bentley Speed Racing Team's drivers will be Bram M. and Bob Mason. The two drivers have experience with endurance racing and they know most of the tracks very well. Bram M. competed in 2005' 24h of Le Mans with a Pescarolo-Judd C60, he ended up winning the event. Bob Mason has 5 year Rally experience, he also won the DTM championship 2 times and was a F1 test pilot in 2001.

The Start:
The Panoz begins this race in the lead as the Mazda is on his tail but after three corners he spins of and he's in sixth while the Bentley is in 4th chasing down the Panoz wich lost 2 positions.
After 5 laps:
The Bentely Speed 8 is beginning to pull away from the field as it has a 20 sec. lead over the Pescarolo which is fighting to keep the other cars behind him.
After 10 laps:
The Bentley now has a lead of 40 sec. over the Nissan which is 5 sec. ahead of the Mazda while the Sauber tries to overtake the Pescarolo.
After 15 laps:
Except the Bentley and the Pescarolo, all cars have made their first pitstop.

Lap 29: As the Bentley is heading towards it's seconds pitstop with an almost empty fuel tank, it sets a fastest lap time of 1'18.473.
Lap 30: The Bentley makes it's second pitstop, with as planned, an empty fuel tank. This team had thought of their strategy very well as the Bentley comes in with only 1 liter fuel in the tank.
