Yes, they were once good, but they took a turn for the ASS GROPING which in turn depreciates all of their past music.
Anything but Metallica dude. They are played out.
Try something original.

If you think so, you were never truly a fan of their music in the first place and that's fine. I happen to really like almost every song Metallica released before 'Load.' The fact that they came out with some less than awesome stuff after that doesn't mean anything. Their old stuff is still awesome.

I used to be a true Metallica fan, I thought they were the best band out there, bar none. Look at how much great music they've released, no other band can do that. Then at some point, though, they sold out to the music industry. Not exactly sure when it happened but it wasn't Reload it was after that (S&M was maybe their best performance ever). Anyway, I've since encoded all my Metallica songs to MP3 and given away their CD's to people who would've otherwise spent money to buy the CD.
LOL, yep, that's where it comes from. I just have the windows rolled down, when I'm drifting, so it looks like I have skill..............Originally posted by Ryen49

How are they played out? I haven't seen any drifting videos with Metallica in it. I'd also much rather see somebody use Metallica than Initial D music or trance.
I don't particularly mind trance, but I don't want to hear it in every video.

That's fine if you lost interest, but their image or the fact that they "sold out" doesn't have anything to do with the quality of their early work.
I do agree that they have changed and not for the better, but that happens to a lot of bands. Hell, I still enjoy listening to Limp Bizkit's first album and old Korn stuff even though I think both bands have "sold out" and their music quality has gone drastically down hill.
