Can anyone here recommend me a good video converter?
I have a couple of .flv flash video files sitting on my hard drive, and I'd like to convert them to mpeg or avi or something else which I can watch in Windows Media Player and burn to a DVD. If it can convert from Quicktime .mov files to mpeg files, that'd be a bonus.
Thanks :)

I think the only thing that can encode videos to .mov is Quicktime. I could be wrong though.

I had a look at that Riva FLV Encoder, and it seems that it only converts to FLV, which is kinda the opposite of what I was looking for. :(

Ok, I thought rather than start a new thread, I would use this one, I am after a program (pref free or free trial) that will convert .3gp files into a useable format (.avi .mpeg etc.). Any ideas?

Try Super Converter. It pretty much can convert any video file to anything, even an animated GIF.

Their website's a little confusing to get around, but the actual converter is extremely easy to use.

Ooookay, you weren't kidding about the website! I have gone to the bottom, and clicked on "Start Downloading SUPER ©" and on the next page clicked on "download and use", and it brings me to http://www.erightsoft.com/S6Kg1.html which has no download link, or any links at all in fact! Any hints, or perhaps a map and GPS to help me get around the website, as it sounds to me that this is what I have been looking for!

OK, at S6Kg1, scroll to the bottom, and there should be 4 download now links. If you don't see them, try enabling javascript and clearing your cache.

Baaaahahahahaha, I am such an idiot, I had missed a ainglescript source when allowing it, and it just so happened to be the important one, I see them now, cheers Seanman 👍
