I am really enjoying Shift 2. For people that don't have the game yet, I thought I'd make a video. I am not a great driver. I just don't want people to be discouraged and pass up on a great game. I am just trying to show how it feels (looks) using a wheel with:

All default settings
Elite mode
Hard A.I.
ALL assists off (including no abs)
Stock Corvette Z06R FIA GT3 Spec (no tuning, no upgrade)
Stock Xbox 360 MS Wheel
Advanced wheel settings are all on default
Manual Transmission



Feel free to post some of your own clean driving videos.

As awesome as that is, if that's the Porsche 911 GT3 RS (or even RSR for that matter) it can't go 218 mph (or is that kph) IRL.

Or do you mean FIA GT3 car?
And I still don't think that those can go past 210 mph without tuning either.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that was something I noticed in Shift 1 also, the faulty speedometer.
 
^ Judging by the other cars on track, I'm pretty sure he meant FIA GT3. 218 mph is still seems a bit fast though...
 
Yes, I mean the Corvette Z06R (FIA GT3 Spec). I just edited the original post. Also, the speed is in KPH.

OK, if it's in kph that seems about right.
I started to panic seeing all these videos of VW GTIs going 200 mph.
That explains it.

Not at all! I welcome other to post their own *clean driving* videos as well. I am tired of seeing people bashing their way to the front with all assists enabled, and then complaining the A.I. is too easy.

What assists are you using in your videos?

Good vids guys! AI is nowhere near easy if you don't use assists and don't smash into them. Clean driving is really rewarding in this game. Loving it so far =)
 
AWESOME! The game is waiting for me at home, but I don't get to play it until I get there until tomorrow night. Your drive has given me a cool look into it, and I CAN'T WAIT! :D

I had sweaty palms watching you dodge the wreck in the Carousel ....:D

I see AI drivers made mistakes at the two most demanding corners on the Ring, but overall they are seriously fast. Only two made mistakes, seems HARD AI setting will provide some real challenges (using same level cars).

Still waiting my copy, going to check the mail box again......:ouch:
 
Some awesome night racing goodness! The A.I. Audi R8 LMS didn't like me passing him on the inside at 7:22. That's what happens when you get clipped at almost 300 km/h!

My camera doesn't do it justice. A lot of the lighting it is over-exposed due to my poor camera.

Ha, yea i know what you mean. Most videos people think there in a tank :)

Elite but with ABS on at the moment. I haven't tried turning it off yet. :)

Nice driving and the Triplescreen looks sweet! I have a Quad-screen setup for Forza, but I can't go back to an 8-car grid anymore. I wish Shift also supported triplescreen on the consoles like GT5 and Forza.

Your wheel looks really dialed-in. The hand-over-hand animation looks great. What wheel settings did you change? My xbox wheel only has 270 degrees, so I can't have the hand-over-hand animation :(
