I've created this thread cause i really need to understand this with the help of someone out there. I already had a chat with Foolkiller about this subject, and he says that the only way you go against 1 oponent is in a rally race. I'm always refering to Arcade mode.

So... i have some videos available at the following address:

ftp://82.102.71.182

**make sure that in Internet Explorer-->Tools-->Internet Options-->Advanced the tickbox that says "Use Passive FTP for Firewall & DSL modem compatibility" is turned OFF**

Username: gt4
Password: gt4

You should see some of my gt4 videos that i made. Download the following:
topoff
topclosed
nonconvertible ,

and tell me what you think as far as the oppenent logic is concerned. I havent figured it out yet... They are about 5mbytes each and my upload speed is around 15kbytes/s so it should take around 10 minutes a video.

Thanx for the help in advance

I think I see what your talking about. When you choose top down, it puts you against 1 person, but when you keep it up, your put against a full grid of cars.
Unfortuantly, due to the limitations of the PS2, you won't be able to run against a full grid with the top down. With the driver moving, its too much action for the poor ol' PS2 to handle.
Hopefully with the PS3, we'll be able to see a full grid of 20 cars, all with their tops down, with naked hot chicks in the passenger seat. 👍
