i saved a replay of me racing with the idea that i could load it to my comp using my sharkport but it didnt work i got the vid onto the comp but i can get it to play, does any body know why it wont work or if it will at all and id it does how do i get it to work?
 
So all you've done is to transfer a replay file from the PS2 to the PC? That file can only be used on the PS2.

To get a video, you have to get the PS2 to play the replay, whilst you record the replay using a TV card in your PC.
 
Yeah, the video cards that have the A/V inputs on them are what you need. I would suggest the WinTV if your using microsoft. All it does is allow you to play it on your computer, stop and take pictures, or do a streaming video. If you try to open a game save on the computer, all you will get is the x-port/shark port screen.
