Viewing GTP from a Mobile

Do you view GTP from a mobile?

I recently picked up a "Q" and have been exploring its uses. I conducted my first "ban via mobile" yesterday evening. So I'm improving on what it can do.

My big question is how many others surf GTP via Mobile phone/handheld?

Anyone, or only a few that just "check up on it, cause I can"?
 
I didn't even know it was possible. I don't own a brand new model cell phone. I still have an old Nokia 3210, so I can't watch it on a hand held phone or PDA. Mmmm, is it even possible to surve GTP on a PDA???
 
I've selected no but I have done in the past but that was viewing the proper site on my P800 and not the mobile site Jordan has put up since. I rarely connect my phone to the web for anything these days.
 
I usually browse GTP on my PSP just before I go to sleep, just in case I've missed anything. I rarely post a message with it, as it takes way too long to type anything up.

I still use the standard skin with it, actually. I cannot get used to the Mobile Skin, so I'd rather wait 10 seconds longer for the Default Skin to load.
 
When I'm not at home I use my mobile for GTP all the time, the skin is good too.
 
I do, every day, while I'm sitting outside having my morning coffee and smoke, and while I'm waiting for other drivers to arrive at the depot. I use the mobile skin, simply due to the data rates, as I get an honest 3.6mbps speed on it (Motorazr V6Maxx) so loading times are not a problem, but an astronomical bill, however, is...hey, I gotta replace the GTPlanet mug and T-shirt that got stolen at some stage don't I?
 
Use my psp for that, homebrew browser which has all the functions of IE.

Pretty much like my computer but on a smaller screen.

Nothing special. Just the PSP itself, a Wireless Router and your ISP.

I don't browse via my VX8300 because I don't feel like paying for the full internet access. I don't think I'd use it often anyway since I'm usually doing something and/or near a computer when not at home.
 
I only use my phone to call people or to have people call me. I have a computer for any internet stuff.
 
I use my PSP to look at GTP & Accel in mobile, but I usually get a "Not enough memory" message after going through the rumble strip.

I've tried it a few times on my TX, but I find it displays better in Lite than mobile. I don't like the way mobile looks, and lite displays fine on my screen.
 
I own a Sidekick 2 and what it does when you connect to a website, it runs it through a proxy owned by T-Mobile and resets the frames to make them fit in the screen. It's a little discombobulated, but it does fine for ordinary browsing.
 
If I payed the 20 a month for unlimited internet for the phone I would. I got on before though, it's nice, but I'd rather just wait until I had access to a computer.

Don't the avatars eat away at your credit?
 
I browse forums on my PDA if i've no other connection such as on the train or waiting for someone.
 
I go on my psp sometimes, but mobile is honestly a horrible skin. :grumpy: It would be good three years ago.
 
The mobile skin is simply a text only version of the site, designed to keep loading times and data costs down. For what it is, it does the job nicely, as it is not intended to look snazzy, it was designed with function in mind, rather than beauty. I would, however, like to see a link to be able to go to the last unread post, like the default and lite skins have. At the moment, as of last night, I am stuck with mobile being the only way I can get onto gtp, as my pc went all corrupt on me last night. :grumpy:

I'd get on more from my cell phone, but the 'rents don't like the bill. Nothing better to do during 6B Study Hall than log onto GTP.
 
I browse GTP on my Wii from time to time -- does that count? :lol:

In fact, I think all of the posts I've made tonight (including this one) have been on my Wii, because my friend has been using my PC.

You can actually turn off avatars, signatures, and images. It makes for a much easier surf, and saves on the cash.

My Q is on a fast enough connection, that I leave it all on. It is a bit jumbled, but still easy to surf.

Well, actually, I don't own a PSP, and don't intend to ever own one, far too overrated in my opinion. I typed it out using the predictive text on my phone, which can sometimes actually take longer than typing it out letter for letter. But yes, I do need a Mac.

By the way, DA, what's a "Q"?

Motorola Q. PDA/Cell Phone/Digicam/Internet. For the past Two+ years I've needed each one for various duties. The Q came out and I played with it for a bit. The Right Price, The right plan, He right time. Done.
