OOOOOOffffft to the whole thread.

Favourite car of the era has to be the '62 250 GTO. Anyone with me in saying the '63/'64 one is not nearly as nice?

Great thread 👍 How have I never noticed it before!

Racing Maserati up there is absolutely gorgeous - pity most of the shots are massively over-produced. The first, head-on shot is stunning. The rest are too much.

Yeah, no kidding. It was still looks like it was a fun set, taking out a freshly restored car in the streets in the middle of the night...

aaaah I had forgotten about this thread entirely. Why had I fogotten about this thread entirely? Because I suck? And why is it only two pages long? Because we all suck?

We need to amend that.

A little American flavor. We always seem to be forgotten in this era.

I had no idea that anyone campaigned a Thunderbird. Honestly, I don't associate the car with sporting motives whatsoever. Well, aside from the later NASCAR Thunderbirds from the '80s and early '90s.

yeah the Battlebird (white one, above) was even factory backed. It looks pretty damn awesome if you ask me. Pity that we do not have a Mopar sporty car from that era.

Err... pity we dont have any other american sports car with the exception of the Vette from that era and on until... omg, until the 80s? 90s?

I love this thread! And I want it to be known that the ugliest car in this thread, whatever it may be, has more character than any car made in the last 30 years. IMO I was born into the wrong era as far as cars and music goes.

super post Exige, that Napier-Railton is all kind's of vintage awesome. I'll give it a good follow up:

1934 Duesenberg SJ custom made for Abbot Jenkins, nicknamed "Mormon Meteor", with a supercharged straight-8 that developed 300+ hp and set a lot of speed and durabilty/endurance records, some of which stand to this very day or at least pretty recently. And just look at the thing.
