Of course I'm not using a clutch (DFGT) and I'm sure many other factors could have changed this time, but I can proudly say I beat it.....so there.

I'm sure someone else could run faster than me though. I purchased this car from the dealer, and went straight to Laguna to beat the record. Didn't even change the oil.

Anyone else want to give this a shot? The official time for the real car (2010 model) is 1:33.944.

My time - 1:33.289

Nice. I won the ACR from the '1000 ticket' and took it straight to Laguna Seca too. I managed a 1.36.xxx after a lap or two but I haven't tried since. Might go back and see what I can do.

Stock tires and everything? No tuning done?

Well, you forgot to account for an extra 70-80kgs (of the driver) that the car would have carried in real life when it set it's lap time.

I think that's it.

Did you set that lap using a steering wheel?! i can manage 01.35.049 with the DS3, i could be max 1 sec quicker i think

Great driving. The turns at Laguna Seca are quite deceiving- they look pretty easy (and they probably are at most speed) but once you pick a road car (stock) with appropriate road tires then the car becomes a handful.

I was doing the same thing yesterday with the Viper ACR as well as the ZR-1 ('09), the SLS and the Audi R8 V10 at Laguna Seca. But instead of using Sport Hard, I decided to use Comfort Soft. It's a bit under-spec'd (the tires) but a lot more challenging and I was hovering around the 1min39sec mark (in the low 1:40s for the SLS and Audi). I can probably shave another 2 on both the ACR and ZR-1 (and pretty much maxed out on the other two cars).

Thanks. I know someone could run faster if they wanted, I didn't quite carry the speed I wanted through a couple of the turns. But I was surprised how close I got.
