Viper Speed - Tuned Lap Times !

Hi all !

Running a Viper Tuned in pp750 Suzuka. Was curious about other Viper drivers lap times ? In other words have i got the best out of this car or is there more to come.

So far in FREE RUN Mode can get a time of 2.04.33 and that is seriously ringing it s neck and hitting every apex at the right speed and hitting every braking point !

In the RACE it appears the tyres are cold as you drift like crazy in the first lap, however my best lap in race mode is 2.06.54 and best total race time over the 3 laps is 6.27..

I love this car and use it all the time but am now thinking that i have maxxed out on the times. Yes it wins races and yes when your in a strong race with 4 or five other really fast drivers it is stable and v v competitive and makes for great racing but don't see that many other Vipers hence my curiosity ?
Had a some great recent memorable Races and some Big Respects out to GTP_STAR74, GTP_DONK, and Mindwise (Great Racing Guys ! ).

Was gutted to see there was no race set for the Vipers in the recent on-line additions, Oh Well Heres hoping !

My best in the Viper/Tuned is 2'01.6xx. But i believe this thread belongs in the car & tuning section of the forum.
 
Pentagram did a 2:03.1 quite easily with my setup. See his review in the 'Hire a test driver' thread for more info. I'm sure faster times are possible.

Hell yeah - I'm fast finding out that I'm not as quick as I thought I was. Would expect a decent driver to knock a good couple of secs off that time :(

I didn't think i was that quick in a Viper... evidently I'm wrong. I use the sixaxis to incase anyones wondering who doesn't know. i usually run it lap after lap 2:02-2:02.5xx
But as stated before i got into the 2:01s. Its a nice car to drive, i do love it. Acceleration isn't great though.
 
Ive done 2.00.9 using NLxAROSA Dutch tuning setup, its a real nice setup very easy to drive, I can lap about a second faster in the Gt LM race car but its much harder to drive.
 
All these 2.00-2.04 times must be in catch up mode.
I have run a 2.00 in the S2000 GT1 but only in catch up mode(made my usual error then try to catch up again..) with my usual times from 2.05-2.10.

No my 2.00.9 was in a Free run but ive done plenty of 2.01's in a race leading from the front with only 1 or 2 other people in it, anymore people and the slowdown kicks in and times can drop as low as 2.07 2.08 in the Viper.
 
Well lap times are hard to judge unless your in the lead, you can easy take five seconds of your best lap in the lead when your at the back.

Iv been running 731pp with my dodge and pulling 2'06's nice and easy like bar a mistake or the punters.

2'04.7 (731pp) in free run but i wasn't after that fastest lap, more to get a feel for the setup. Nice car and the bonus is the setup works great on the Vette too :P
