I understand that some former top finishers in GT Academy were given the boot due to failing the eye exam. Anyone know what the difference between a regular eye exam and GT Academy's, or what they are looking for exactly?

I can see extremely well, but only b/c I wear contacts and I'd hate to actually make it to England only for them to say "it says your name is Mr. McGee, are you sure its not Mr. Magoo? You can go home now mole man."
 
Glasses and contacts are allowed. I think if you have 20/20 with glasses or contacts you'll be good.
 
Last time I checked it was 6/6 vision minimum (with or without corrective lenses) + normal colour recognition.

It should be on the MSA-UK competition rules so its probably a good idea to look for that now and print a copy or two.
