Anyone knows when this will come out? I'm planning on buying a new system, but it would suck installing Windows XP onto it when 3 months later Vista comes out... Damn monopolist Microsoft.
Is any recent Pentium 4 a 64 bit processor or do I have to go for an Athlon? I'm not really up to date with hardware anymore, gotta get into it once again. Once I'm going to buy it I also have to be up to date about videocards. So far the best contestant is a X800XL. I'm not planning on spending more than 300. 500 is ridiculous for a videocard.... 300 is a lot to me already.
Any Pentium 4 ending in 1,5, or 6 or with the suffix J should be 64 bit (ie Intel Celeron D 335J.) I'm not particularly sure about this however, an Intel user would be able to give you better advice.
I would advise switching to AMD anyway, we have better processors AND a more transparent naming process (if its called '64' its 64 bit).
