You dont need to be skilled at all to win this one. Just ride the walls as best you can where its worth it. I was down some 36-37 seconds after 5 laps because I let my brother try it... I ended up winning it at the last corner of the last lap.
THIS is a thread you started not that long ago, about the Pro Vitz/Yaris cup. It was locked and you were told to look in THIS thread.
In that thread are my settings for Pro/Yaris/Rome, which you added the comment "so famine's settings make the vitz fastest then?". To remind you, the settings were:
For the gear ratios, you may or may not know the "Tranny trick". For this trick you:
Move Final Drive full right (hold down R1...)
Move AutoGear full right, one step at a time, then full left. Now Auto is minimum @ maximum Final...
Move Final to the desired value - and only ever move the Final ratio to adjust ratios track-to-track.
The game stores two Final Drive values - one for current setting, and one for setting at which Auto was set. So by doing this trick you set the gear ratios as close as possible - useful in microscopic power-band cars like this - but still have the capability for the vehicles absolute top speed.

All you need to do with these settings is do qualifying at SSR11 and see how the gears measure up to the track. If you're bouncing off the redline (which I suspect), go to the gearbox settings and alter "final" so it is a smaller number. If you aren't getting close to redline in top gear, make it a bigger number. Keep on doing this until the gears are right - you should be not quite hitting redline by the time you're braking on the main straight.

There's just no use for a write-up. The race is easy if you run a good line and don't pit.
If you've got a Sharkport / X-Port, here's my replay winning SS11 by 12 sec. without riding the walls in a 255 HP Vitz with stock suspension/brakes/transmission and no LSD.
