just set up the car so the car oversteers a lot(ff cars under steer like crap). also, lower the ride height to the max. one more thing. set up the gaers real close cos it has very **** acceleration

I jsut ran the Vitz race last weekend.

I modified everything I could on the Vitz, Including tires. I picked up super soft, medium and everything between medium and super slick.

Left all the settings alone except for ride height. Bottomed it out.
Depending on which race, I found that rear tires wear less than front. So I ran a bit softer on the back than the front.

Most all the races, I didn't qualify for any of the races, just started. It usually took my 2-3 laps to gain the lead. then held it until the finish. I nearly lapped the field twice in the test course.

You've got to run near flawless laps (No walls or spins) to maintain a lead.

You can test out tires in the qualifying tries.

Good luck,
AO

make sure you have not only bought but installed the best turbo or n/a tune up possible.

I was racing the vits in pro with the turbo or n'a tune up not installed for months wondering how the hell i was going to win. But when i realized my error i was able to win easily.

I'll give my exact settings to u later...
I did a mess, but after that , I could make the car actually turn at 60 mph. I qualified for the first two. On test course u dont really need to qualify and I couldnt qualify first place in SS11II so I had to race it from 6th, but I ended first place after all.

I used my pink Vitz. Modded it fully (well, nearly) and did'nt touch any of the settings (apart from turning off ASM & TCS) and went into the series, never qualified, and i usually got the lead before the first corner.

Easy.

I think , many people have been struggling with the Vitz Series in Pro, not all the people, but I think u are just bragging. I can believe that u can win without qualifying, but that thing about getting the lead in the first corner, that is unbelievable, especially from 6th place. At least if u lie,do it propertly...

I am not lying. In SSR11 or 5 (whichever one it was) i got 1st just before the 1st corner and in the Test Course i got 1st just after the 1000m i think.

What is so "unbelievable" about it?
A 230hp+ Vitz vs. five 60hp+ Vitz's.

I don't use any sort of traction control.
I ALWAYS take off slowly, to reduce wheelspin.

If you still don't believe me, then how can i prove it?

It is SSR11 II if u dont remember

And, actually if u lower ASM and TCS u wont decrease tire spin, u will actually make it more possible.

In hell u will get a lead in the first corner in Laguna Seca nor Romeo race with equally powered Vitz from 6th place.

But i, like lots of others, know how to reduce the wheelspin by not accelerating hard out.

Well if i read that right, then i must be in hell.

Like i said before,

These are the facts.

1-The maximun u can tune the Vitz is to 280 plus 10 hp more with oil.
2-All the Vitz in Pro are fully tuned, there are no Euro Vitz.
3-Ur Vitz should be as tuned as the CPU ones , oops, I believe not, since u said ur Vitz is maxed to 230.
4-With a weaker Vitz u are not going to get the lead in the first corner, not from 6th place, the car takes like 6 seconds to go from 0-60 mph. Same as the CPU ones, so If the first Vitz took 6 seconds to get from the beginning to point A, u will take 6 seconds to get from ur start point to the start point of the first Vitz and another 6 seconds to point A. To that moment, u have already made a turn.

Eeeeeeeeeegghh. Wrong answer.

I said 230hp+ NOT 230hp. That is because i did'nt check how much hp it had.

Not everyone is a bad driver.....

Just tried it.
ROME CIRCUIT: 4th at first corner
LAGUNA SECA: 2nd at first corner
TEST COURSE: 1st before 1200m
SPECIAL STAGE ROUTE 11: 6th at first corner (crap takeoff)
GRAND VALLEY SPEEDWAY: 4th at first corner

The car is sitting at 294 hp at the moment.

Remember what i said in my first post.
"and i usually got the lead before the first corner."
I never said i did...

Well, that is better.

Eveybody has a crappy take off in SSR11 II.

Tercel Driver is my hero, I have never seen anyone disect a lie as well as you have, you actually made the guy redo all the vitz races, and give you the real results, which only included one 1st place after first corner, so Mustang man may either be a really good driver or a really bad liar, and that ladies and gents are my two cents,

P.S. I am ironically having some trouble with SSR 11 in Vitz, is it my settings or my car?? This question is directly directed toward Tercel Driver since he knows his ****. I am out like mustang Mans chances of beating GT3.

1 out of 5 is not a very good ratio to the original 5/5 every time 1st place around the first corner. Where are you going with this :)

Before posting my settings, I must decribe the way I drive...
1-I dont brake during corners, braking during corners is not acceptable using these settings.
2-I brake late in a corner and usually go through it with the gas pedal to the mininum and sometimes not even touching it.

Ok, here are the settings. Feel free to make some changes and maybe post them to help me and other fellow gamers.

Toyota Vitz (Pro Vitz)
Front Rear
Spring Rate 8.9 5.2
Ride Height 99 99
Shock Bound 5 5
Shock Rebound 7 7
Camber Angle 2.0 1.5
Toe Angle -2.0 0.5
Stabilizers 4 4
Brake Balance 10 13
Limited Slip Initial Torque 10 0
Limited Slip Acceleration 47 0
Limited Slip Deceleration 16 0
Gear Ratio Auto Setting: Level 24
ASM: Level 10
TCS Controller: Level 7

*These settings are applicable with a NA Level 2, a full modded Vitz. (290hp)

Hope this helps.

Oh I forgot something important.

Use hard tires, (the long-lasting ones)
It will usually take u five laps to green them up, and u wont pit.

I dont remember if u can modify downforce in this car. If it is, increase the front and decrease downforce in the back or rear.
That will increase ur top speed.

Now i tuned my Vitz up all the way, well not all the way 280 hp, no oil change, that car doesnt deserve one hehehehe. I got the pink one too, my boys hate me for it, plus i put some bad ass black wheels on it. Anyways i thougth i ll have problems with it but then i realized that around 4 th lab they all of a sudden slow down, i guess tire wear. Basically if you are driving clean and nice, dont try to bounce of the walls, you should be able to smoke the competition very well. Now about SS 11 track. I caugth the lead of that race in 4 lap, had trouble because i thought if i bounce of teh walls i ll be faster WRONG. As said drive clean and u ll smoke em, dont give up. Have fun guys, but i just have to go sell my Vitz, because i do not feel that car at alllllllllllll.

I just realised that it may have been the Beginners League Vitz race series where i got first before every corner.
Which is very easy to do in Beginners.

FYI he didn't "make" me go redo the race. I just realised that it could have been the Beginners League series, not the Pro series, so i went to check.
I am not a liar either.
And i consider myself to be a good driver, as everyone who has raced against me in the game has lost, 98% of the time. (they only win when i start doing doughnuts waiting for them to catch me)
And i would have finished the game twice now, but firstly my save got deleted by someone, and thanks to Grand Theft Auto 3, i have'nt played GT3 as much as i used to.

This question is directly directed toward Tercel Driver since he knows his ****. I am out like mustang Mans chances of beating GT3.
What do you mean by that?

I discovered that the Euro Edition and RS 1.5 could do pretty similar lap times when fully modified, and using the default tuning settings.

The RS 1.5 should have a much better time given that it has a 70bhp advantage, so I checked the default settings.

If you check the gear ratios, the Euro has a final setting of around 3.7 and the RS 1.5 has a final of about 4.0

I changed the RS gear ratio settings to the same as the Euro and got a massive improvement, I can lap the other cars on lap six on the ten lap test course, with a top speed of 270kph

This setting works pretty good on all the other tracks, and should win you easily. The only track you suffer on is SSR11, but if you can at least keep up with the pack, they will pit, and you can zoom ahead, assuming you stick to Super Hard Tyres.

I too am having trouble with this race(vitz professional league), particularly with ss route 11, It seems no matter what I do I cant crack any faster than a 2:15.

Does anyone have any tips for a better Turn in? that seems to be the major problem for me. I have tuned it to the point where it will coast through the tight turns without much correction, but If I start accelerating in the turn it pulls me out to the wall(torque steer).

Also my pink vitz has 294hp. is this the highest it will get?

Have you tried any of the settings/suggestions IN THIS THREAD?

yes, did you read this before replying to it? I want more turn in......suggesting an asm of 10 is not going to help turn in.

fwiw, I just got done reading famines thread and his settings are giving a more
lively steering response and are yielding some reliable
results..

thanks.
