This is a prototype VW made in 1993 with the intention of racing it in the WRC. It had a 4 cylinder turbocharged engine with 275 HP and a watercooled intercooler (Subaru-style), a sophisticated computer-controlled 4WD system, revised brakes and suspension, uprated exterior and some other goodies. It was to be seen in VW's museum in Wolfsburg. I don't know where it is at the moment.
Cool and rare car.
Look up NGPracing, it's my local VW tuning shop where I take my mk3 vr6 GTI. The owner Dave used to own a jazz blue A59 with a vr6 turbo under the hood, I don't think it was awd. I was going to buy the rims that he was selling that came on it and boy I regret not getting them, they were nice, but look it up, there's some pictures up on the website of the A59, he has since sold it to a lucky somebody. He also has a green mk2 GTI rallye vr6 turbo making over 500hp. www.NGPracing.com and go to shop cars, look at the A59 and golf rallye VRT! I don't know how to post websites attachments to a post sorry.
It looks beautifull And I´m a huge fan of compact cars, specially if they´re European. I never ever heard of this, but I´d love to drive it, wether in GT or in real life!
