Hi everyone,
for this test, I wanted to find out how much of a difference suspension and differential settings alone can make on a completely stock Volkswagen Golf VII GTI ’14. Power and weight remained stock throughout the entire test series. The car was driven on Comfort Soft tyres, with automatic transmission, without driving aids – ABS only was enabled. Step by step, only the suspension and differential settings were changed at Deep Forest Raceway.
The goal was not simply to chase the fastest lap, but also to understand how each individual change affects the car’s behaviour and lap time.
