Even if the Volkswagen Snowareg has been officially produced back in 2011, for the Swedish division of the carmaker, the model is being placed into the spotlights once again, this time with the carmaker releasing yet more official photos and images with it. The Volkswagen Snowareg can be considered the ultimate snow vehicle and with Christmas coming in pretty fast, this will definitely help Santa Claus deliver his gifts faster and with style.
As you have probably figured it out already, the Volkswagen Snowareg is based on the Touareg and the model is coming with tank-like tracks which work just like they should on all surfaces.
The Snowareg is powered by a 4.2 liter V8 TDI diesel engine which is producing a total output of 340 HP (250 kW) and it has a peak torque of 800 Nm (590 lb-ft). This is allowing the model to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.8 seconds. Fuel consumption stands at 9.1 liters burned every 100 km (25.8 mpg) and the CO2 emissions stop at 239 g/km.
