Based on an old Volkswagen T1, the vehicle uses an air-cooled engine from Porsche 993, equipped with two turbochargers and delivering 522 bhp (390 kW) and 757 Nm (558 lb-ft) of torque. It is mated to a six-speed manual gearbox, taken from a Porsche 996 GT3. The steering system and the brakes also come from the 993.

Riding on 18-inch BBS wheels, the T1 Race Taxi weighs only 1,500 kg (3,307lbs), thanks to the extensive use of details made of carbon fiber.

It's essentially a Porsche 911 GT3 in the guise of a VW bus.
