Volkswagen Up! GTI?

I think it was rumoured about a year or so ago, would anyone want to see it be made?

What engine would it have? The current max is 75bhp, I think the 1.4 TSI from the Polo would make this thing fly, it has 140bhp and in the Polo it gets the car from 0-60 in 7.9 seconds.

Don't know what its natural competitors would be, but I think this would be a good fast little car, I mean they made the Lupo GTI before, and the Up! is basically the Lupo's next evolution... Wonder if it'll ever be made.

I've driven that engine in a much bigger Skoda, it likes to rev. Would be well suited to something lighter.

Be more like a spiritual successor to the original Mk1 Golf GTi then the current one or the Polo GTi are.
