My friend's B13 SE-R was awesome. Don't really know how good the normal models are, but I imagine they're fine cars.

This will be the second one we had, and they're pretty solid cars. The minute I sat in it this afternoon it was like a time-warp to my Fox. They smelled nearly the same, weighed about the same, and even looked somewhat similar.

I love little cars like these, I'm looking forward to driving it tomorrow. Pictures to come...

The SE-R was the only one really worth buying IMO. Otherwise a cheap Civic does everything the Sentra can do while being more reliable and looking better.

And even above that, the SE-R was and is one of the performance bargains of the early 1990s. To this day, the 90-94 SE-R is always discussed in magazine reviews of contemporary SE-Rs.

No disagreements on that, but he loves the car, so I can't fault him. The 1.6L is peppier than I remember (the car only weighs, what, 2300 lbs?) and apparently it'll pull 35+ MPG easily even when in city traffic. Coming from the Camry, with the family budget pretty tight, I think its a much better idea than the Cherokee he was looking at.

Good news is that if anything goes wrong with the car, it wouldn't be too hard to start sticking SE-R parts underneath it.
