No disagreements on that, but he loves the car, so I can't fault him. The 1.6L is peppier than I remember (the car only weighs, what, 2300 lbs?) and apparently it'll pull 35+ MPG easily even when in city traffic. Coming from the Camry, with the family budget pretty tight, I think its a much better idea than the Cherokee he was looking at.
Good news is that if anything goes wrong with the car, it wouldn't be too hard to start sticking SE-R parts underneath it.
