656 bhp and 709 Nm. Using Volvo's own B230 block and B234 16V head with an insane turbo. Made in Finland, not running at full boost yet.

And he's raised the figure to 673 bhp after that run...
 
Very true, but he hasn't even started to get the full potential outta that LS1. Apparently all the internals are stock and he's only running 10 lbs of boost.

I just wish more people would do wagons instead of sedans. I know less weight and yada yada but the wagon looks so much cooler :sly:
 
Wow, what a swap, TT-LS1 FTW. :lol: I don't have anything to say besides wow, that's a great looking wagon, with an insane engine package. What with they put an LSx in next? :lol:

yes, they desperately need it.

*grumbles* some day, I will swap a 10A wankel engine into a Viper.. just to mock the "hey, lets LSx it!"-fanboys.
 
Nonononono. Corvette. Viper will prove nothing to no-one...it's a Mopar. LSX guys could care less about Mopars.
 
Well that power can be made N/A with a head/cam/intake setup, so I imagine he is not tapping into the full potential of his setup. His website says he needs help with internals, fuel parts and other stuff so...

But I'm not sure, I don't really know a whole lot about turbocharging LSx motors, but I'm willing to bet it can be made into quite the monster with full supporting mods with the setup as is. Not that the power it makes now is needed, :lol: "First gear is useless, I have to pedal it in second, third I can finally put the power down." :lol: But If you have the money, a TT V8 seems pretty cool IMO.

1000hp out of that LS1 is easy, its just going to be expensive.

Volvo redblocks can make a lot horsepower, iron block/aluminum head combo is nearly impossible to kill unless if you boost it too much with a stock bottom end.
 
well.. if my memory serves, there is a video in youtube.. about PV 544 dragster, that has Volvo engine making ~1000bhp..
