Hi there, welcome to the VW Scirocco GT24 championship. This is just a thread to see how many people are interested. If you are interested please post your GTPlanet and PSN name. Race nights will be wednesdays, 7-9pm UK time.

The VW Scirocco GT24 Base Model '08 car must be purchased, along with an oil change. 484pp, 336bhp, 1120kg. No tuning is allowed, except brake balance and adjust power limiter for success penalty.

Each season will consist of 10 tracks. The races will sometimes be dry, sometimes wet, depending on the weather in real life. A good driving standard is expected, 2 wheels within the white lines at all times. Any racing incidents must be reported to the stewards (TBA).

Each round will consist of 3 sprint races, lasting between 20-30 minutes. The grid for race 1 will be determined by a 10 minute qualifying. Race 2 grid will be based on the results from race 1, but the top 5 drivers will recieve success ballast. Race 3 grid will be a reverse grid based on race 2 results. Racing soft tyres must be used in 2 of the races, Racing Medium in 1 of the races. You may decide what tyres to run in what race. Tyre wear will be set to normal, real grip and real slipstream.

1. Willow springs (Big willow)
2. Suzuka
3. Tokyo
4. Eiger short track
5. Brands Hatch GP
6. Silverstone international
7. Monza
8. Monaco
9. Nurburgring GP/F
10. Apricot hill

Due to no weather change for monaco and tokyo, these rounds will be a guareented dry race.

Top 10 drivers will recieve points
1st- 20 points
2nd-15 points
3rd- 14 points
4th- 12 points
5th- 10 points
6th- 5 points
7th- 4 points
8th- 3 points
9th- 2 points
10th- 1 point

3 points for pole position
1 point for fastest lap
1 point for being a lap leader

Success penalty
1st- TBA
2nd- TBA
3rd- TBA
4th- TBA
5th- TBA

To keep a competitive championship fight, there will be 8 team slots available. The first 8 drivers to sign up will have priority to 'own' that team. any drivers unable to own a team must join a team with permission from team owner. Also, so there is no clash of colours, each team will be given a different shade. first come first served.

yeah sorry guys, it will be mid week, either monday, tuesday or wednesday. whichever day suits people best and will be in the evenings, around 6-7pm UK start time.
 
I'm hoping we get more, but i'm thinking of allowing 8 team slots. first 8 to come will have priority to 'own' one of those teams. the next drivers who sign up will have to join another team, if that person allows. thoughts?

I think that's good, will avoid too many teams and make a more organized constructors championship.

ha ha yeah, i knew about team colours. was going to mention it, i was thinking what to do about it. maybe so there is no clash of colours, have 8 different shades. first come first served?
