FUN RACING FOR ALL!!!

Rules and Regs

The room will open at 8:45 PM BST (7:45 PM GMT) on Fridays. Qualifying will start at 9:00 PM BST. Everyone will enter the track at this point, after qualifying has started you are not allowed to leave track (to avoid grid glitches). The race will start at 9:15PM BST. Most events will consist of 2 races, each taking 15-20 minutes. Race 2 will be reverse grid. Enduros are expected to take 1-1 ½ hours.

ABS: 1
TCS: Off
Active Steering: Off
SRF: Off
ASM: Off
Driving Line: Off
HP Restriction: 305 BHP
Tyre Restriction: Racing Hard
Damage: Light
Visible Damage: Off
Tyre/Fuel Depletion: Off for the normal races, on for Enduros
Grip Reduction: Real
Slipstream Strength: Weak

Start Procedure: The start will be set to grid start. Once the countdown is done the leader should set off at 60 MPH for a formation lap. The rest will form a double file line (think F1 grid except moving). Warming up of tyres is prohibited during the formation lap. The leader will start the race once he has crossed the start/finish line after the formation lap.

Driving Etiquette:

You are expected to follow the GTP OLR at all times, below are a few rules from said OLR.

A:
If there’s contact between drivers that results in the guilty driver making up places on the innocent driver, the guilty driver should immediately allow the innocent driver to pass freely to re-establish their position. This rule should be observed, even if it means the guilty driver has to allow drivers not involved in the incident to pass while waiting for the driver they contacted.

B:
You must establish substantial overlap with the car ahead before they reach the corner’s turn-in point to have the right to drive up their inside, or to expect them to leave inside room for you. At least the front of your car should be up to the driver’s position in the ahead car. The ahead driver has the right to be fully committed to the racing line of their choice without any interference if there was no substantial overlap before he turned in.

C:
When a crash occurs in a group battle, it’s vital to minimize risks for additional crashes. Slow down if needed, and try to drive on the clear side of the track. Overtaking is still allowed, but only under 1 or more of these conditions:
•The risk of hitting other cars is minimal.
•You overtake to avoid crashing into cars in front of you.
Slowing down would make you a mobile obstruction for other cars.

Repeatedly disregarding the rules will result in penalties, point deductions and (maybe) disqualification from the championship.

I'm interested in this gorsad 👍. Love this car but most people in Toca don't like it for it's "VW too fast" :lol:. Hopefully this can get off the ground :).
 
Yay, at least there's 1 interested person. Hopefully more people will show an interest and this'll actually happen.

Just a note, at these specs the car understeers a lot, but tuning can fix that I think. Only other solution was to put it on RH tyres.

Well unfortunately there's really not enough interest in this to get it up and running. So I think this championship isn't going to happen.
 
Yeah it's sad as this car is really great fun... Shame on GTP racers.. 👎
 
I don't have the DLC, but seeing as I'm going to buy Motegi soon, I could grab this one and the other DLC rides in the progress, and sign up for the series.

But maulpac is right, people only seem to want mainstream series :indiff:

Including PURE...
 
That would make 4 people interested in this. Agree with you on the mainstream thing, it's hard for a new series to spark any interest, considering all the obvious ideas are taken (NASCAR, WEC, Indycar).

But it seems that Fridays are packed now with DaxCobra's Clubman series, NASCAR Trucks and the Swifts. What times would work for you guys.
 
Love this car, sign me up mate, i prefer saturdays/sundays.
 
Okay, table updated and teams championship removed. Also I'm changing the tyres to Racing Hard as the current spec just understeers too much.
 
I would disagree as I used this car in its full power spec (420bhp) and on SS tyres and I oversteered on my setup more than I understeered :lol:. But I'm fine with RH also.
 
Hmmm, will have to conduct more tests I guess. But what start dates would you guys like, also would you like the timing to be a bit earlier.
 
Maybe RH though will bring more people in aswell, you never know :). Times and Dates for me is anything really ;). Only series I currently do is PURE GATE on Saturday 9pm-10pm (BST) and CALM on Sunday 8-11pm (BST). And they are both currently in the Pure summer break till August.

Edit: Also a question are you going to restrict the power in room settings? As the restrictions in room settings are 295bhp or 305bhp ;).

Hmmm, I really need the race to start by 8:15 GMT (that'd be about 1:45 AM here) or before. I'll send a PM to all the interested drivers to see what fits them best. I'm also going to send a PM to other people to see if they'd be interested in joining.

EDIT: I guess I'll have to up the power to 305 BHP then, will change the OP accordingly. Love how this thread got revived randomly.
 
All days for me is good as I'm finishing my work at 2:00 GMT. Car color to be decided tomorrow, thanks for information anyway
 
Same for me heck you could run this back at 6pm GMT if it was better for you I'm fine with almost any time on Mon-Fri :).

True, it might be kinda sad to race with just 5 drivers, assuming they always show up. I think I'll scratch the enduros due to lack of people. I might not be able to make some races so someone else might have to host them (sometimes).
 
I may sign up but my fridays are a bit sketchy so not willing to make the full commitment :scared:. You can put me down as reserve if you'd like :)
 
My entry might not happen because Fridays are NASCAR Trucks ATM, so you might need to switch to another day to work it out.
 
Well, to be honest. I'm thinking of postponing this until series like Trucks and TOCA have finished, that would leave some space for this to be held on the weekend. Also, I'm running in to many racing series right now to give this serious attention.
