"Ok. So I pulled into the station to fill up. Starting pumping and went to get a soda. In the store my manager called and asked me something so I had to write down her number. I walked out with my soda and went in my car to get a pen and paper. I write down her number and we hang up. Then I start my car and leave.
I heard a pop but it was so quiet I figured I ran over a bottle. 2 miles later I get home and am backing into my garage when I look in my right mirror and see something awkward. I get out and there this is. Instantly I take the camera out of my pockets and snap some pics.

Funny..yes? Stupid??? Yes! What do I do with this thing??" -some idiot in a gti vr6

OMG:eek:, did you go back to the servo?

and you arnt just making this up are you?:odd:

Umm... I hope there's damage on the side of your car to teach you a lesson. But, other than that, keep the hose, because that's friggin cool!

Hey, I bet it was a shell wasn't it? Cause there are a lot of shell's with a subway in it. I work at a subway that's in a shell close by, lol. Hope he enjoyed his $1.37 large plastic subway cup, and the complimentary Gas hose. :p

If he takes it back, he'll have to pay, so keep it, and hope they didn't catch him on video.

BTW people, he said "-some idiot in a gti vr6", not him. If it was you, it's damn funny, if it wasn't, still funny.

Pay attention, lol. I bet it was a woman.

He'll have to pay? For what? It's a quick release. All they have to do is reconnect the crap.

If that happened to me, and for some ungodly reason I returned it, and they tried to tell me I had to pay for something... I'd laugh in their faces, grab the damn thing back, and drive off.

By the looks there is a little peice of metal on the end. Didn't that spark on the road while you were driving?

It's the quick release. Those pieces are supposed to release from the gas pump, so as not to break the hose of the pump and cause a gas leak. Looks like it worked.

Did the person ever use their wing-mirrors on the way home?? And surely that thing made a noise as you drove along.

You may have observed from the photos that it was dark - making a black hose and black pump handle somewhat difficult to see. I believe the second point was actually covered in the text.

That said - pretty silly thing to do.

You think if someone drives off with the thing still pumping, that they will just take it back and give him a slap on the wrist? That's pretty stupid. I believe there are, or should be, fines for that type of thing.

i dont think it would spark up. its not heavy enough and his speed probably wasnt fast enough.

i guess its the equivilent of dragging a masterlock.

maybe it would've.....who knows.
