For the standard 5 tracks comprising the event, I'd like to see:

1. Nurburgring 24h (2 laps)
2. Spa Francorchamps (4 laps)
3. Laguna Seca (7 laps)
4. Circuit de la Sarthe (3 laps)
5. Special Stage Route 5 (7 laps)

:)

Did you do some tests with the cars.

I don´t think the GT 300 cars can keep up with the DTM´s.

I see it coming everyone slaps tuning parts on the DTM´s and downtune it to 530 PP.

I think the DTM's all are over 530PP stock.

Some of the cars on that list will need a fair amount of power increase / weight reduction to compete. Forgot to mention that.

It would be nice if all of our A.I opponents were tweaked to be in the 510-530PP range. This would ensure a nice pack of bad machines to race with. (for the most part)

I demonstrate what I mean.

I took my Vauxhall Astra Super Touring to Practice Mode and did a One Make at the 24H layout versus the stock Astras.

Now my settings:

363 bhp , 1200 kg , 530 PP , Sport Soft tyres

Guess how many seconds I was in the lead after 1 lap.

btw I didn´t put much effort in it.

I see what you're saying. Like most of the Seasonal and A-Spec Events- the A.I. opponents are going to be slow as ever (letting off the throttle when you pass and generally NOT racing hard).

If needed you can simply throw some Comfort Soft tires on or detune your car a bit more and see if that produces a good race (may take a little trial-and-error). It is definitely a shame that we must resort to such measures- especially when Arcade Mode (seriously... arcade mode?) has more overall options and changeable parameters for the races than anything in GT Life, including the crucial A.I. Aggressiveness.

I mainly started this thread to show that it is possible to have an exciting, varied field of Touring-like Cars in a seasonal event. We shouldn't be limited to only DTM's or only Super GT's all of the time when there are dozens more similar racecars that we could be getting some use out of. :ouch:

I tried with 319 bhp and more DF.The result is the same.

I try to give them a headstart of at least 45 seconds.Maybe this gives a bit of a challenge.

btw had grip set to real and Fuel/Tyre depletion on and used only ABS 1.

* edited the original post to remove:

Mazda Roadster Touring Car ** (too small)
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Touring Car ** (it's modified to a Rally configuration, not road racing..)

and added the:

Spoon S2000 Race Car
HKS Genki Hyper Silvia
Mazda Atenza Touring Car

Just one make races with the DLC, high payouts, like 300.000 without 200% so we get something back for DLC.

For the standard 5 tracks comprising the event, I'd like to see:

1. Nurburgring 24h (2 laps)
2. Spa Francorchamps (4 laps)

5. Special Stage Route 5 (7 laps)

:)

The Le Mans track is far from fun with touring cars - it's better when you can almost jostle in a train like Nurburgring 24hr or Rome or Monaco. I'm not saying it isn't a good circuit - it is but isn't exactly technically challenging. its just straights and fast curves and 3 chicanes - depending on whether you count the ones on the Mulsanne straight.

Sorry for not using correct circuit names brain goes when I'm sleep deprived like now, and you have small straights - like Laguna Seca to stretch your legs and overtaking is done on corners too - if you an awesome driver like me - he he. I hope they bring Pikes Peak back at some point to seperate the men from the boys.

Guys, c'mon. DTM and GT500 are ok, but a bit stale with the handful of cars they present us to race with again and again.

Here we have 36 different cars that we could face in the field of 12 at any given time.

And uhh, mr. sgllocal? Maybe the 70+ % of 40 voters could explain to you why the thread is here.... It obviously caused enough impact in your life to warrant some time spent commenting. :dunce:
