Wanting to build a PC with 7.1 surround sound

I want a PC that will output at least 7.1 over HDMI, and has the ability to do at least 3 screens for racing games. What are some good suggestions on where I should start?
i have never built one on my own before, and my friend says that an integrated sound board will be fine and he doesn't know about the triple screen.
As far as my budget goes, I'm not really sure. I plan on building it over the next 2 or 3 months, so if I need to spend a nice chunk on 1 piece I can. Sound is really important in this build and so is 7.1 because I would like to incorporate a blu ray player, so I'll need a card that does DTS master audio and dolby true HD. It doesn't have to decode it, but it at least needs to be able to pass it through to my receiver.

Another question is, do any sound card and graphics cards come together so I can use a single HDMI cord to pass both the sound and video?

Here is what I'll be connecting the pc to.
Denon 1909, want to upgrade for pre outs
Fronts-polk RTi A5
center-polk CSi A4
Sides and rears- polk rm8's
sub-SVS pb-13 ultra
Blue ray-ps3
Panasonic plasma 50 inch - I'll be using this as my monitor until I can get ahold of 3 projectors when the prices drop some more.

Depends how good an experience you want, anything integrated is quite limited. You can get some excellent sound cards.

I would really like to change the title of this thread to "How do I build a pc for a triple screen setup" If a mod could help me out that would be great. I might get some more info with that title then the one I put.
