Sorry to create a thread on this since i just talked about it a few minutes ago it's just i think this deserves it's own thread since i have found another victim.

This is for PS3 users

My original post:

My game wouldn't load before a race,it was stuck on the same loading screen for over 5 minutes.I figured it would be ok to just quit out and restart the game since i've done it before no problem.

Now when the game starts all i have is the options and career icons on the menu.It still says i'm at 66%,but when i press x for the career it takes me to the very first race with the Skyline.I'm going to go ahead and do the race again and see what happens.

I did back up my save,but i have yet to see where i would re-load it.Also i checked my settings and i have lost none of my settings for my wheel or options.

I just did the race and when i got back to the menu it still says i'm at 66%,but when i go into career the only races available are the Modern C Races and my DLC races that came with the game.Everything else is locked.

This is just a fair warning to all those who have a PS3.One minute the game will be running ok and then for some strange reason it will do this.Hopefully when the patch comes out this will be fixed and those who are affected can be about their merry way on their career once again.
 
I've yet to have to do it, but I'd imagine the procedure for loading your backed-up save file is deleting the one from your save game folder on the PS3 and substituting/copying the one from the USB drive in its place, then starting the game as per usual.
 
I must not of backed up my data at the right time.I tried reloading it and it didn't work.

I had backed it up maybe 20 minutes before this happened because i remembered the game save loss bug.

Looks as though i'll have to restart my game.

The only thing i dread is doing those Nurbugring races again :yuck:
 
I think what happened is the Works races caused this problem.I didn't have a single(big) problem until i went into those races.

I'll make sure next time i have a save backed up before i even enter those races.

One note to add.You don't lose your Autolog times when you have to start all over.
 
I have the works unlocked but the Autolog's keeping me busy :D

Anyway, don't just backup the game data. Make sure you exit the game in a properly first :)

PS: Every time I was stuck with loading screen was between those championship type events. But it resumed after booting the screen... Good thing I always backup my games data (when possible)

I guess i should have waited a bit longer for the game to load.

No worries though.This time i'm going to have a back-up on 2 drives.I'll make sure one drive has an earlier save than the other just so this won't happen again.
 
I Effed up on my comment :D

I meant It resumed the championship after booting the GAME... Sorry for the mislead.

Just cross my mind this is a similar problem to what GT5 has related to the internet connection... time will tell
 
Glad I just bought an external hard drive. I'll be putting it to use tonight backing up my PS3 system entirely. I'm no where near the levels or percent complete you guys are showing as I just bought the game late last week. And, like others, Autolog is keeping me occupied trying to beat times set by a friend from GTP.
 
i dont wanna turn this into a complaint thread but man i might have to put this game away or ( worse) trade it in if a patch isnt out soon so frustrating

I hope it wasn't what happened to me.I wouldn't wish that on anyone.
 
:grumpy:I just had the game freeze on me AGAIN and this time when I loaded I LOST MY CAREER 49% BLOODY ANGRY......I still have all my cars and money just all events are locked this is not GOOD ENOUGH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!👎👎👎
