I found this interesting, so I thought I'd share it with any Sonic fans who might peruse this forum.

I also put together my own mix of "Stranger in Moscow" and the Credits song from Sonic 3. It was a lot easier to do than I thought it was going to be.

Interesting, but what I find deeply disturbing is that you listen to (or at least know) Michael Jackson songs.

Good mix though 👍

So you find Thriller or Beat It disturbing? Grow up, and get off the whole Wacko Jacko deal, bud. Thriller was the #1 song for years.

According to Wikipedia.

A sequel was planned [Moonwalker], but after accusations arose that Jackson had molested children, Sega halted these plans. Jackson was also supposed to compose the music for Sonic the Hedgehog 3, but those plans fell through for the same reason - although his personal song writing team still wrote the soundtrack, Jackson himself was not publicly involved.

Meh, just not my style.

Personally I can't say that I don't like him as a person. I just feel sorry for him, and I hope that his father is crying in a corner for the things he did to Michael as a child that made him the whack job he is today.

However, the 'Wacko Jacko' dartboard that everyone throws at everytime someone says they don't like the man is getting beyond rediculous. I never said anything about that in the first post, nor did I say anything leaning towards his persona. I was mearly speaking of his music, which in my opinion, and that I am in intitled to, think is... lame.

Back on topic, the Wikipedia quote sounds about as truthful as this conversation could ever get. Good find Casio 👍

No, but you are implying "Wacko Jacko" when you say that it is disturbing that anyone knows or listens to Michael Jackson songs.

You think it's disturbing because of what he's been accused of, which is where you find it disturbing, not because you don't like his music.

No one ever claims music they don't like is disturbing, unless they have good reason to, ie., lyrics or artist.

I'm inclined to agree with McLaren here, why the hell do you find it disturbing that Wolf knows, or listend to Michael Jackson songs. Personally I tihnk some of his earlier songs were great, especially for thier time. Does that disturb you, does the fact that I know a lot of his songs give you the creeps.

Yes.

Does that bother you?

If so, why?

Why does what I think bother you so much?

The thing is it doesn't bother me what you think, I find the massive contradiction in your posts odd. As for the fact it disturbs you when you you hear about someone that knows Michael Jackson songs, that's just strange.

OK this topic is going slightly off from Sonic 3, but would make for interesting discussion in the right forum about Michael and his songs, and why people might find it disturbing if others listen to his songs....

anyway, back in the day playing Sonic 3, I never realised any similarity between the game and Jackson, and the end credits I never linked to Stranger in Moscow even though I've heard the Jackson version many times back then.

I have the music to Sonic 3 on my computer (as well as Sonic 1, 2 and Sonic R), so I guess I can have a good listen.

Thanks for posting Wolf. I found it interesting.

Off Topic Slightly:
I do also listen to some of Jackson's songs. Like him, or hate him theres no denying is musical prowess when you look at the amount of albums he's sold.

The music that Micheal Jackson's collaborators did contribute to the game was slightly reworked at the last minute, altering some details somewhat. Jackson himself had produced some music for the game, but Sega dumped the songs he was directly involved in when the Chandler scandle hit.
That being said, I've enver been able to explain the similarities between Strangers in Moscow and the credits roll.

Whats up with the 20 page thing before the download on putfile? Interesting video though.
