I was watching Pitchmen, mostly because there was nothing better to do, and I noticed something: Billy Mays does the same hand gestures, in pretty much the same order each time, in every single commercial he does. Including those where he only has one hand free.
Observe:

0:17

0:17 (again!)

1:30

He starts the commercial doing it, then does it again starting at 0:10 while hitting a car with a hammer. Then he does it for the last 15 seconds of the commercial.

0:04 and 0:58 (where he does it for 10 seconds) and 1:40

Or this one, where, after gluing together a U.S. flag, he does it while standing in a hurricane (0:35).

This one is fun, because as health insurance isn't really a tangible good, he literally spends the entire 2 minute commercial doing nothing but the same hand gesture over and over again.

Which is worse - the fact that he does the same mannerisms over and over or that you hunted them all down, complete with time stamps?

Hey, I finished school on Friday. I have absolutely nothing better to do with my time, other than play Disgaea and KoF '98.
Also, I haven't seen these findings anywhere else on the internet, so I may be the first!

Yeah, all I know is I'm gonna go buy a Handy Switch now, screw with the lights in my house and make my parents go crazy.

Oh my. He really does... I agree with RoadDogg. Whatever works, you should stick with it. At least until someone notices it. I like how in the health insurance one they try and get a closeup on him so you can't see him doing it.

I like how infomercials always overdue the hassle of things and the person always winds up throwing something or getting frustrated.
