As car prices fall, we recognised this as a good time to buy a new one. My dad spoke to dealerships about an IS250 SR, and we managed to bleed them dry because the cash flow was needed that bad. We actually changed the dealership we were going to buy from 3 different times on the day we got it, Lexus Wolverhampton and MK constantly trying to beat eachother's deal for the car. The IS220D went as part exchange. Anyway, here she is.

Paddle shifters aswell :D
The SR version has a slight bodykit, which includes lower front and rear bumpers, lower sideskirts and a small rear spoiler.

Muahaha I know where you live now... now I just need to find a funny looking brick building with a black lexus in front of it... crap.

In England, anything that isn't fields or skyscrapers looks like that.

You can't say you got it cheap and not tell us how cheap. C'mon Alex, spill the beans!

I know it was less than 18, that is all ;) (Usually 24k+ new)

Sweet! Good deal on it aswell. It's definetley worth buyng now if you have the money to do so.

That's a generic looking modern house, good luck!

Yikes! Which begs the question, why would anyone buy an Insignia?

Nice buy, although did the fact you're swapping a 2.2 diesel for a 2.5 petrol not raise a few eyebrows? Particularly in the current climate.

Not as yet, but the consumption is pretty good, usually get around 36MPG.

Nice choice! That is one of only two Toyotas currently in production I wouldn't mind owning. Have you driven it yet? Or are you old enough?

Sounds like you got a great deal on it too.

You guys get the automatic-folding mirrors across the pond? Our North American IS sedans do not get them, but that's okay, since they're kind of faulty, from my experience.

Paddle shifters work okay on the IS, but the engine computer tends to take over, if you "forget" (that's good and bad, in my opinion). You'll have to look up how to defeat the TCS (I forgot the process).

A crisp-handling and comfy sedan, from my experience. I had one as a loaner car for three days, and I didn't want to give it back, naturally.

What "old" Lexus did you have before that, out of curiosity?

Nice saloon. Think about it soon and you'll end up with an IS F. Trust me, you'll become obsessed with something like that easily.

This isn't my favorite Lexus model that has an 'F' on the end of it, I actually prefer the LS600h, but that doesn't mean the IS models are bad. Out of curiosity, what do you think of the paddle shifters? If I'm honest, Lexus don't need to put them in their cars. I don't even think it suits the IS F...but that's just my opinion. ;)

Nice. I love these sedans. Sharp looking cars, but bummer on not getting the proper 6 speed manual. Oh well, the TCS isn't that hard to kill, and I think the newest models have a button for it.
