I really like the weather and time of day changes in TDU2 more than in GT5.
I just experienced my first thunderstorm, with cracking lightning and booming thunder. It was awesome!
I love how the water lays on the road in puddles first too, rather than just everything becoming "wet" at once.
And the sunrises and sunsets. Man, I thought the sunrise over the Nurburgring was impressive, but I have to say the sunset I experienced in the Ibiza mountains last night was breath taking.
Anyone else think the dynamic lighting and weather effects in TDU2 are top notch?
 
Haha same man, I was just in ibiza sat there on the beach taking photo's of the forks of lightning striking the floor, gotta love the thunderstorms haha although it's a bit sketchy when you're alone and it goes all dark and thundery.... is that even a word? lol!

Also loving the day/night changes oooh and the tunnels! I'm yet to see a sunrise/sunset :(
 
I agree i like the weather effects in this game, the thunderstorms are fantastic, i enjoyed driving in the thunderstorm more than anything. Its also nice with the patch they fixed the offline weather. Not that i would be playing an online account, i made one while the servers were down to show a friend the game, was litterally just after the patch was installed. Pre patch, people complained that the weather did not work offline.
 
I also like the weather effects and day / night much better than GT5 by a longshot. Especially since its everywhere you go and truly dynamic. Unlike GT5 where you have to pick a certain track. I have some great lightning pics too from TDU2.

On a side note, no games weather effects even come close to PGR4. That game had incredible weather effects. You could actually watch the water run and drip off of the vehicles. Incredible!! Each water puddle and snow drift also effected the physics. You could feel the car hydroplane in the water puddles. I really hope Forza 4 has the weather effects from PGR4.
 
the only thing missing the rain hitting on the windshield, it should be more intense and pretty much like how GT5 does it, and working wipers too!! And I like if you have a dirty car it will be cleaned up partially after driving in the rain.
 
Dunno, I'm playing TDu2 on my PC and the rain doesn't stop...When I start the game the wheater is sunny but then it starts raining a lot. In the beginnig it was fun but now it's just boring.

Do you play on or offline?? They stated recently that there are no weather effects for people that are offline. The patch is supposed to fix that.

I like how everone that is on the same island as you, gets the same weather. Doesnt matter if they are in a race, career, or instant challenge. Whatever the island is having for weather, everyone has. Which can sometimes make the community challenges very tough. I also like how you can check the weather in advance on your TV from your house. :)

Same is happening to me and I use a PS3. :( I'm hoping for some sunny days.
