Hi guys, welcome to week 3 of the driving skill competition. This is the new weekly competition where driving skill is everything. Each week a stock car and track is chosen the car CANNOT be tuned or modified in anyway as to give an advantage over others.

This week is the AEM S2000 at laguna seca and tyre choice is RACING HARD max. All aids are to be turned off except ABS on 1. Transmission choice is down to you.

This is an offline competition and you can do anytime, just choose the car through arcade mode then select the track. Everybody Is free to enter.

Please send in your best lap time stating whether you used ds3 or wheel (lap must not have gone red).

Its time to show your skill and race! Good luck everyone thanks for the support! Any questions just PM me and i'll get back to you ASAP! Enjoy!

When sending your times in please could you use the following format:

Driver: GTP name/PSN name
Time:
Transmission: Auto/Manual (if manual state whether clutch used)
Controller: DS3/wheel
ABS:
Brake Balance: (Front/Rear)

The leaderboard link should be up later today!

After the huge success of the previous weeks it would be great to get as many people racing this week. So get out on that track and have fun!

Nice lap! You're the quickest :D I think you can assign buttons on the d-pad to adjust brake balance. Though I'm not sure I will check for you. 👍

EDIT: you can assign the RA menu to the r3 button on your remote.

Good to know! Thanks! New post for time updates right?

To be sure I get it. We drive the car from the arcade selection?

If so, 1.28.088 is my time in first lap. And having difficulties to get lower...
But if we have the ability to get the one from our garage and tune its diffs and suspension it's another matter. Just in case I did it in 1.26.692 with the tuned one (stock engine has 472PS from 429PS of the arcade one)

Driver: Rotorist/Rotorist
Time: 1:28.088
Transmission: Manual
Controller: 6axis
ABS: 1

Yeah from arcade with RH tyres.

Updated laptime

Driver: Rotorist/Rotorist
Time: 1:27.015
Transmission: Manual
Controller: 6axis
ABS: 1

Driver: SomethingGR/ELLHNAS
Time: 1:27.269
Transmission: Manual
Controller: DS3
ABS: 1

First results in, definetely room for improvement since i was so close to cut some time off, but i missed the braking point just before the corkscrew.

Jeez how are you guys going so quick?!?

Hope nobody uses the the pit exit cheat/shortcut!

The back end likes to step out a lot, probably because its a drift car, so set Brakes in favour of the front!

Not a big fan of this weeks trial, don't like Laguna seca, it just doesn't flow for me and the car is, I don't know, just missing something.

Its hard to see where I can make more time, not like the others where you always thought "I can take that corner a little better/faster/slower/neater etc"

Thats sad to hear, would you like to have some involvement in next weeks track and car choice?

Don't get me wrong, I still love it, just not as much as other weeks, nobody is gonna like every car and track combo!

Ignore me, I'm just moaning!:sly:

Haha, thats just you excuse :sly: :)

Yeah I have to agree, Laguna is without a doubt, my least favourite circuit by a large distance, I'll be sitting this one out for a few days and I might have a crack later in the week, cheers.

Oh dear, nobody seems to be liking this track :( I can change it if you like seeing as we aren't far in.

Changing it would be an amazing idea:D

Hmm okay, is it possible to change the thread title? Any track suggestions then? Nurburgring gp circuit?
